She could either

a) Leave Malaysia and just settle in the US acting to her heart's content (including those scenes) - - so even if Malaysians chastise her, no issue
b) Accept the role but use body double for those scenes
c) Negotiate so that those scenes are instead implied instead of being shown

Now that she has turned down the role for such reasons, future roles maybe jeopardized even if involve small amounts of sensuality.

But it's her choice, and if that's her reason, should respect that. She's not the only actress on the planet.

“Those are on top of the kissing scenes. Perhaps being naked is no big deal in Hollywood but I am not willing to do it.

“I may dress sexily but I will not undress on set to do steamy scenes for a streaming platform in Hollywood, ” said the 30-year-old.

Nadia said such roles would sully her reputation as well as her family’s good name.

“I have to admit, all actors have a dream to act for Hollywood.

“But we are Malay and Muslim, our culture is just not the same as Hollywood’s, ” she added.
