how about brix II? when will arrive?

http://www.gigabyte.my/products/list.aspx?s=47&ck=104

Sorry, not going to focus on the new Brix as it's more expensive & has lower speed & built-in graphic compare to INTEL NUC D54250WYK i5 Haswell. Warranty consent too as INTEL warranty can be done locally with fast replacement while gigabyte may need to sent back to Taiwan as they no keep buffer stock for old model.

pgcity,
If you talking about 2.5" harddrive through SATA port, then your NUC casing need to keep open. As the case too small to add any HDD, not even extra mini-pcie device.

Put a USB 2.5inch drive to the USB3.0 port to expand the storage.

Mita,
Received from GDexpress today. Thank for the free upgrade to Low Voltage SODIMM. Surprise the Haswell NUC must need LV SODIMM, and not regular SODIMM.....  Good service, will recommend to friends.
*
OK, Good thumbup.gif

Intel need to cut every unnecessary power which can add more USB Port "Now 4xUSB3.0", extra SATA Port, Audio, IR & etc.

QUOTE(pgcity @ Jan 9 2014, 10:22 AM)
no. not talking about that.there is a new version of NUC released this month with a bigger casing that can support 2.5". read link below.

http://www.legitreviews.com/intel-haswell-...h-drives_127098
*
WYKH is newer model which is taller but still not yet available in Malaysia. Actually not necessary needed as 2.5" SSD & mSATA SSD performance are exactly the same & price also not much different. Also you not going to put a snail running 2.5" normal HDD which will slow down the performance. laugh.gif

Don't you think you're torturing your own PC with fanless. Anyway you can just switch off the fan or reduce to lowest if want fanless, "kidding" laugh.gif
