Yeah, that is a nice idea to get a degree in design. I like designing and interior design, but I don't have a degree and I still can earn with it on freelance. I do 3d interior designs of rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc. And that is not hard at all if you are creative enough. I use Planner5D for the planning, you can try it even now. It has a very clear interface for users of all levels.
