tbh they did the right thing with persona

C segment market got very competitive with Civic & all the other SUVs and theres no chance for proton to survive as buyers are willing to spend more for Jap brands

instead they focus on the B segment where buyers are very very sensitive to pricing

the 2nd gen persona is more comfy than Bezza while being quite a bit cheaper than City/Vios, sales are much better than the iriz as well

saga is like A+ imo

if u compare the saga and persona in terms of driving experience & build quality, the differences are quite obvious

to me, saga is like a recycled product from the FLX/SV era with slightly improved engine & new shell

no HPF body with very barebone tech so that proton can price it way cheaper than bezza

while the persona is meant to be a proper replacement of proton's B-seg with the most up-to-date tech from Proton

aimed to compete with city/vios/almera

both models did quite well as u can see plenty of sagas & personas on the road

proton's last modern C seg is the preve and i think everyone knows it is plagued with issues from the laughable build quality to the OCH to the gearbox etc

the first gen persona was so outdated albeit being sold side by side with the preve, the only reason people buy it is because of how cheap it is
