My female cat just gave birth to 3 kittens.. unfortunately, 2 died. Not sure what to do with their corpse, for the time being just wrapped them in a paper and put in an empty box.
Also, is there any special food to give a cat who just gave birth? Preferably wet food since she can't eat dry food at all. For now, just been giving her royal canin.

QUOTE(Katrinah @ Mar 5 2021, 04:49 PM) Never had a one mth old kitty 😅 got mine at 2mths old and knows to use litter. Happy training ðŸ¤ðŸ’ª haha, lucky I saw, had to open her mouth and took the sand out QUOTE(neome @ Mar 5 2021, 07:21 PM) For me usually I would just put newborn kitttens and the mother in a good sized cage with a litter box n other basic necessities for the mother. This is to prevent the mother from transferring the kittens to other unkown places eg in a cupboard etc. its the mother's instinct to do this until the kittens can walk and fend on their own. I would let the mother go out of the cage every now n then tho a mother who just delivered do not walk around too much. The kittens will eventually learn to use the litter box in the cage on their own. Once they are used to doing their business in the litter box then only I would let them out the cage roaming around the house. U can also use a play pen or a small room if u dont have a cage. Having said that maybe others have different and better ways of training their kittens i put the mother and kitten in my room, don't let out.. only the mother just sometimes go out walk2 to living room.. i tried putting the kitten on the litter 2nd and 3rd time, she tried eating the sand again guess have to find another way

QUOTE(neome @ Mar 5 2021, 08:08 PM) Where do u put the litter box? where does the kitten do his business now? anywhere in ur room? thats y u need a confined space like a cage so that the kitten can find the litter box easily and get used to it, anyway I usually use tofu litter, no dust and bigger sized particles so its difficult to be consumed by small kittens but even if they swallow it its pretty harmless coz its made of natural products. now the mother still lick2 the kitten pee

QUOTE(Red_rustyjelly @ Feb 15 2023, 12:49 PM) better feed Farmina N&D than these 2 US brands. If you want a cheaper but decent rage can use Acana from Canada. I'm looking at Acana as well.. price ok, not too expensive like Orijen first time hear Farmina, I try check it out

QUOTE(basilisk @ Feb 16 2023, 03:54 PM) always check the ingredient list and analysis, never listen to seller say wht premium wht super premium.. crap. some dono made frm where oso can claim super premium nowadays.. so which brand would you recommend? I'm looking at TOTW, Farmina and Acana right now but Acana seems a bit expensive compared to the other two

QUOTE(basilisk @ Feb 18 2023, 10:50 PM) totw is way cheaper, u can change the food once or twice a year, dont just stick with one for cats entire life. yup, been feeding royal canin hair and skin for a year and a half now thinking to change a shop near me sold a tester package for TOTW, bought it to test with my cats they were a bit hesitant a first to eat, but at night they seem to be eating it well going to give them more for these next few days, if they like, will buy the TOTW 7kg

QUOTE(idless @ Feb 24 2023, 04:02 PM) My cat is still on RC Kitten, and planning to switch to RC Hair & Skin soon. Was thinking whether to switch to TOTW since there's so many good review. Did you notice any difference on the fur between feeding RC Hair & Skin vs TOTW? Also which one which make their weight gain faster? p.s. My vet says my cat is getting fat lol. their fur definitely became fluffier with hair & skin I didn't stick with TOTW cause they didn't eat much. I bought Carnilove for them to try. So far only one cat enjoyed it, and still observing the other two to see if they like it.
