price is not similar, i checked shopi, comparing biggest pack.

acana 4.5kg - 228, ~50rm/kg
nd prime 10kg ~34x, ~34/kg only,

farmina claims 98% animal protein, that is alot, even orijen doesnt dare to claim tht high.
but they use just chicken not like orijen all sorts of this that rojak.

which one is better u need to test got any notable difference.

what put me off the the price of 1.5kg nd is too expensive/over price.
so i wont buy it.
if buy big 10kg, risk cat dun like.. then sell to who... lol..
i dun buy repacks.

I was comparing the 5.4kg of N&D also....ahaha......came out to be almost same price point.

I like Orijen and Acana cause they have mixture in protein as well as the supplements and also vege/fruits that they include into the kibbles.

You can give 1 meal wet diet, then 1 meal kibbles

Can't, overbudget. Lol....that fella eat expensive wet food so once a week and don't want her to keep waiting for the wetfood by ignoring the kibbles.

guys, wana ask ur opinion whether what i'm doing is correct or not.

i have one female cat,not sure what breed but i think its just kampung type, now 2 years+ old, totally indoor cat.

i just fed her kibble,RC hair n skin and also TOTW,previously using blackwood...very rarely give wet food, maybe two or 3 months once. daily change her water cup.never peed outside litter box as i train her since small, i clean the litter box regularly.

until now i think went to vet 3/4 times just for checkup n injection, cat have been spayed since 1 year old if not mistaken.

my cat no problem, healthy and energetic, but like to bit everyone who disturb her,i guess its normal la.

what i'm asking is is the way i'm feeding her is correct? i assume since she still young she still healthy, but if what i'm doing is wrong in term of feeding her,i would like to avoid any problem in the future as my mom kinda growing fond of her and almost consider her as her grand daughter, haha.

last time i had small cat maybe few months old (too bad my lil bro lost her), i start feeding wet food n she poo everywhere in the house,i think she unable to control or maybe she's too young to eat wet food.

Think you're doing it okie. One thing I would change is to give wetfood once a week. I do that with my cat and doesn't have any problems. Make sure you get those quality wetfood though.

My cats are weird, I have always been feeding them wet food but sometimes they don't even eat their food. But when it comes to kibbles they get very excited and will finish everything.

The wastage is frustrating and for wet food it is not hygienic to leave it out for a few hours.

Now I'm thinking of getting some kibbles and put some on top of their wet food. Any good high protein brands to recommend? Saw a brand called Acana. Previously I fed them Molly kitten kibbles.

Also wanted to ask is my cat infected with parasytic worms? I recently saw it again in her eyeball and I have seen this before months ago also...

Is this something I can just buy online or do I need to go to the vet? Cant find the medication on shopee. .

Acana or Orijen is good. They are very high in protein and their ingredients are good if you scrutinize what goes into their kibbles.

Thanks for the sharing. May I know which Coway model is it? How about the filter changing duration, like how many months change once ya? Especially for your case with 4 cats, I think getting an air purifier definitely makes a lot of difference.

Get high quality kibbles and you will not have to worry much about the poop smell. Personally using Orijen or Acana and their poop smell has never been a problem for me. Keep the litter box and somewhere closer to the window where there's air movement and you'll be okie. People who come to my house don't even know I have a cat at times cause there's no smell at home. lol.

Thanks for the info.  biggrin.gif
Thanks for the sharing...no wonder Orijen and Acana price is at the premium tier. Other than Orijen and Acana, have you tried Taste of The Wild brand?

TOTW is pretty sought after as well. If your cat likes it and budget allow, it's a good long term kibble for cats. smile.gif

Do remember to feed wet food every week if you can to make sure your cat gets enough water. Not too sure about yours, but my cat drinks alot of water so that's okie. I got for Schesir or Axia for wetfood. Axia has cheaper options which uses real meat still. smile.gif

Orijen and Acana were purchased by the Mars group.
Big acquisitions like this kind is very messy, because of there will be doubt from the consumers whether there will be changes in the formulas or the ingredients.

It is a recent year news, so you may want to study a bit more what has changed before investing your money.
https://www.mars.com/news-and-stories/press...ampion-petfoods

It could be better or it could be bad, so far no answers yet.

There were concerns but don't think anyone has proven that they degraded the recipe or upgraded. So far, my cat has still been eating it the same way she did before the takeover. No changes in poo and smell either so I guess they are still mostly the same if not the same? lol

I'm planning the wet food for my kittens as well...did some research seems like Purina Fancy Feast Royale is good, but the product never mentioned about whether it's suitable for kittens or not  hmm.gif
Thanks for the information smile.gif

As long as they consume it, then it's okie. Assume the kitten is 3 months and above liao then all is well. biggrin.gif If you need higher nutrients ones, consider Ziwi, they are more complete in terms of nutrients.

Does anybody have experience  with Powercat or Misha kibble? These are local brands. Just asking as I hope they arent harmful. Are they better than supermarket brands like Prodiet or Friskies?Am trying these on strays I feed. My own cat is on RC Indoor but am looking fir budget friendly options for the strays. I also give them.wet food 2 or 3 times a week like Misha or Snappy Tom. I boil ikan Tongkol or chicken or liver twice a week too for them.
*
Used powercat for the stray cats outside before. The cats love it and the kibbles do not have any colorings in them. They mentioned that there's no fillers in the but from the ingredients list, there seems to be some pending on what you determine as fillers. You can try to go for something like snappy tom or brit. They are pretty palatable by cats. Cost is important but gotta invest abit on healthier food so that they don't suffer in the future.

guyss! i just neutered my cat and she is super duper manja right now. previously, she wasn't like that at all. What's the change? is she okay or is she doing this cos she is in pain?
*
Just did? If just did then chances are she's in pain. But she's okie. That's what happened to my cat as well. Every night will come lie down next to me. They don't seem to be in pain cause they will be jumping all around after 24 hours....Mine was manja with me for a month then back to normal. lol

Got a new cat today! It's been awhile since I have a new cat.  Use to buy Orijen but price is a bit high side for me. Any good one to recommend?

Went to pet shop found so many brands out there. Any tom dick and harry SMES repack their cat food into own brand and say themselve AAFCO lol..

How the hell I will know is genuine...  Zzzz.
*
Taste of the wild? Acana? Think there are others but I haven't been looing for new foodfor my cat in a while now. Cat is having Orijen for now. Think it's worth the price if you want to give the best to the cat.

Any will do as im only spend more on the one in the house, for the stray cats outside i do feed them reflex

Think many references above. I personally used Acana and Orijen and cat has been healthy. No issues for the last 4 years.

Wet food, tried Aixia, Schesir, 85C and sheeba.

There's TOTW, N&D etc....
