After tried several different products, I still choose Norton MalwareBytes doesn't count because you can run MalwareByte together with the above antivirus. and many user have MalwareBytes alongside antivirus.
(Poll choices can only list out 15 lines, so there are some not listed).

BitDefender and Windows Defender only.
All others are extremely intrusive, especially when you are using development.
A simple hello world, plus a simple CRC32 routine (yes just the routine to calculate CRC32 without using any library) copied from the website, will makes many antivirus unhappy.

Some people say the Windows Defender is enough, but because Microsoft doesn't have the perfect reputation for security, I think the paid program by the company that specialize in security is even better. From https://www.techradar.com/news/is-windows-d...ugh-for-your-pc: QUOTE Is Windows Defender good enough for your PC?
Windows Defender is good enough to defend your PC and uphold the promise of its name, and there’s nothing wrong with it as such. But in all honesty, the leading free antivirus alternatives like Bitdefender or Kaspersky are better, and it really isn’t all that much effort to install another app to replace Defender. Which is why our answer to the titular question ultimately has to be: yes, but no.

Interesting discussion, Top on my list as per below;
Kaspersky ESET
Kaspersky Pros: because very good detection and very fast response added detection to new zeroday malware. Cons: Sometimes heavy on certain system, i didnt know why, but as im computer technician, im bound to interact with many different types and models of pc and laptop. And i fount that this it the truth.
ESET: Pros, very light on any system, decent detection. Never interrupt any activities on PC, so pretty much install, it detect most virus, and work lighter that Microsoft defender it self. Cons: The new malware and zero day detection are not that good (last i use this is on Dec 2019, so didnt sure if it has improve). Configuration and security can be extra hardened, but need extensive level of knowledge to edit such settings.
