Bro, they just revealed lots of new HDMI 2.1 4K monitors in recent CES2021.
The expected release date of the new monitors are around 2nd and 3rd quarter of the year. Keep your money for a while and wait for the worthy ones to be release a bit later this year. Yes, the monitors available now can support PS5, but those new ones are better for the long term you will not regret waiting. Edit: 2.5k will be able to afford those new ones. Why IPS?
They perform the worst for HDR cuz of blacklight bleeding. |

IMO better save up a bit more to get a TV with 4k/120 support a good 4K 144hz monitor now is still pretty expensive, even for a 27" you might be able to grab one average 27" 4K 60Hz IPS monitor with your budget, if you don't mind didn't get full performance out of your PS5 and last I've checked, HDR implementation on monitor is still pretty crappy compared to TV Convael liked this post

Thats why I prefer monitor.a good 4K 144hz monitor now is still pretty expensive, even for a 27" you might be able to grab one average 27" 4K 60Hz IPS monitor with your budget, if you don't mind didn't get full performance out of your PS5 and last I've checked, HDR implementation on monitor is still pretty crappy compared to TV |
