Hi Sifus,

Honda City

Service Should be done whichever comes first-
Mileage: 43000
Date: 28 November 2020

Current Mileage: 39542
Scheduled service appointment on 20th February 2021

Question:
Is this 3 months delay still acceptable, taking account into MCO that happened and also the fact I dont drive alot because of that?

Thanks! notworthy.gif

Bye bye warranty. You broke the clause that says whichever comes first. Some car company 1-2 weeks delay they will forgive you, but most dont. Yours 3 months already..pray nothing happens to your car. Power window spoilt or other items that have no connection to maintenance you might still be able to claim i think.

Try talk to your SC.
I serviced 3500km past due mileage but SC recorded as 1k (their limit konon) so warranty still valid.

Wake up , kementerian pengguna ......... this is 'unscience' !!!

TS, in a way you can save a lot of $$$$ by kicking out SCs' of typical japanese cars ......................
to help pay off for your wear and tear items in future like tyres etc .

I totally forgotten 1 of the scheduled service. Later something else not related to engine broke and Honda did not say anything and still replace. But if it is to do with engine, I am not sure.

So I guess it all depends on what you will be claiming warranty for.

Honda Malaysia is very strict by the book, and intolerable even by one day. Doesnt matter if you had just driven 1km but if its due to for servicing after 6 months, you still need to bring it to them
The service advisors have always keep reminding us to service on time to avoid warranty void.

There is nothing can be done by the dealer workshop, it is Honda Malaysia's policy.

Just pray your car has nothing to claim.

Honda service is such a pain in the backside that I wouldn't want to buy another Honda if I can help it.

And beside, I find Honda's air conditioning weak compared to a Toyota or a Proton.

Actually most new car SC (I believe all) also similar T&C, unless the SC advisor can kautim for you by backdate or under table settle.
