Kinto One caters towards budget-savvy customers who wish to own and drive a vehicle without the hassles of having a conventional hire-purchase loan. Provided are vehicle subscriptions for Toyota or Lexus branded cars of up to 3 years, with usage limited to 30,000km per year. No down payment is required to start the subscription, but Stamp Duty charges apply.

Additionally, Toyota notes that the fixed monthly subscription also covers for each vehicle’s registration, annual comprehensive insurance, road tax, periodic maintenance, and preventive maintenance. It also added that the vehicle is covered under comprehensive Takaful Insurance coverage with 24-hour emergency assistance.

user posted image

Once the subscription period is completed, customers are simply required to return the respective vehicles to Toyota Malaysia. It is also worth noting that should customers exceed the 30,000km usage limit within a year, they will be charged 50 sen per kilometer.

This is useful for companies. Can put this as expense instead of in the balance sheet and have to amortise.

Siow ar? RM20K a year for a Vios. At 5 years, you would have paid way more than the car is worth. RM100K. And you don't get anything in return when you give it back.

If buy and sell after 5 years, at most you lose RM50K.

Might as well do higher purchase if you can afford the subscription..

hire purchase after 3 years... you lose at most 30%

if a vios cost RM110k... you would have paid RM33k .... include other fees like road tax... insurance etc for 3 years... I would say about RM45k max...

under this subscription... after 3 years... you can already buy the car itself!!! WTFF

super beneficial to conti or cold car. hafriz shah from pauline.org had told b4 why he rent his mercedes and I kinda agree with him.

but toyota rental?. unless the rent is cheap, otherwise beat the purpose of subscription.

toyota ni famous sebab reliability je. bkn sebab, sedap bawak pun. dull car. klau lease ni, reliability xboleh dijadikan ukuran sebab peduli apa semua dicoverkan. kikiki. so plan ni bakal gagal.

One owner of a Lexus IS350 F Sport mentioned living in Germany for a time. The owner didn’t have a lot of faith in BMW and their lack of industrial support. They didn’t think of Mercedes as a luxury vehicle at all until one was purchased at “a particular level.”

Now living in the U.S., they own the car because they find it to be an incredible vehicle. They said they would also own an Audi, but they felt the Lexus offered better value and greater reliability.

Another owner of a Lexus LS430 said they wanted a vehicle for daily use that was high quality. They’d looked at offerings from the other three automakers, but decided that maintenance with any of them would be a “death sentence.” The Lexus was the obvious choice for them as they were driving over 25,000 miles or more per year.

if so then one advantage is consumer have no fixed liability , can call off anytime without being declare bankruptcy and can lend more money from bank since leasing wouldn't write into ccris

Conti reliable up to certain thousand Km. And dont compare conti with jap reliability, for sure jap win.

both focus on different kind of reliability..

conti focus on fun driving but reliability will be compromise later..jap focus on dull driving but reliability will be maintain for long term..

I had test drive accord tcp 1.5 back to back with passat elegance. Passat feel miles better in term of grip, planted to the tarmac, brake, stability. Basically everything related to fun driving.

Accord 1.5t feel faster than accord 2.4, but same dull driving.
