then just change the whole unit will solve the issue.

If you are thinking to renovate the bathroom and going for tank type, then you will need a rainshower mixer. I am using tank type, connected with HDPE pipes (both hot and cold) to 3 mixers inside my bathroom. 1 x rainshower mixer; 1 x basin mixer tap; 1 x bathtub mixer. the same cold water line used for another 2 branches which are to WC and bidet.

are there different types of HDPE pipes that I need to take note of? I only know the ones with blue stripe. By the way, how many mm are the pipes supposed to be? 15mm?

considering to get this, inclusive delivery and tax from Amazon DE it's EUR 900, this should be all I need other than the piping works right? local Grohe dealer selling at RM7,888 no discount bangwall.gif

My bad. I actually used PP-R (suitable for hot water) that usually greyish colour with blue/red stripe. i think the stripes is to differentiate the cold (blue) and hot (red) line. Get those good grade with SIRIM approval. And installer also playing an important role. Get an experienced plumber for the job. Once the lines done, close all the points and do leak test with your pump on. i cannot remember the diameter of the pipe but i think there are some cut-out portion and i am keeping. Later i check and let you know.
HDPE is those black pipe with blue stripe. Sorry that i made you confuse.

The picture you showed is actually conceal type and installation will need to hack off the wall with sufficient thickness in order to cover the whole internal unit.
Very nice to see but if there is problem with the conceal unit arise then you will need to hack the tile and do rectification. If you really want this type, get a reputable and decent one and good one usually expensive. All my bathroom and toilet parts bought locally and thus I am not familiar of getting from Amazon. Anyway RM7888 can get a whole bathroom renovated complete with everything.

will definitely try to get a plumber to do PP-R! Very hard to find plumbers willing to do PP-R I feel (even when I wanted to install pump)

based on my understanding for the conceal type.. need to hack if pipe inside leaking.. which should be unlikely.. if mixer failure then perhaps can find back the same parts.. hmm.gif coz aesthetics wise conceal is so much nicer

I had to rewatch the video again to be sure.. Initially, I simply assumed it would have volume control.. As in, why not.. who doesn’t need volume control in a shower set? sweat.gif Unless they expect a separate control knob to be built alongside?

Attached Image

From the SS above, she pushes the lever on the bottom first before adjusting.. Guess I wrongly assumed it is some pull/push mechanism to control the water volume..hmm. Also, I can relate to the fancier bit.. haha

The button is to disengage the temperature limiter which in this case set at 40oC. She was taking shower at temperature more than 40oC which is scalding hot sweat.gif

Newer hansgrohe model with thermostat control, volume control and 3 select switches.....(if ur rain shower got 2 spray modes, lesser switch lower the price)

P/S: the price is just only the thermostat unit, u still need to add on a hand shower n a rain shower unit....... brows.gif

Difference of switch and those turning knob is that turning knob can onli turn on 1 shower each time, but select switch, u can click all n on all...... of coz water pressure will affect the water power.... mostly for u to play wif multifunction/multi spray type rain shower.....

That's the fancier hansgrohe..... brows.gif
