Forumers , need suggestions on contractors for house extension.
Main concerns are durability, long lasting, and reasonable pricing.

Roofing I see many options, roof tiles, metal roofing etc, standing seam metal roofing, ACP. Not sure which is good.

Location: Elmina Valley 4, Seksyen U15 Shah Alam

5ft out, walls up the sides, tile the floor.
I actually have the floor and wall tiles already.

Current site condition, *sorry need to borrow other people's iamge, but it's exactly the same.

End result should look something like this? (without aircond box and roof pitch should be higher)

Roof tiles still better idea. Metal/plastic will have that annoying rattling noise.

As long as the installer use whole suite of Monier stuff
(Wakastrip mounting bar + Easy Flash Plus flexible seam joint between wall and first tile row),
radenshield heat insulation,
tile mounting if doing the hip and ridge (if new installation part includes diagonal raised border lines in layman term) use MONIER TOPFLEX;
and most importantly don't be pigeon or bird nest - MONIER Pest Guard

should be good to go.

Actually (IMO) not good to extend fully, makes it much easier for intruder to climb into the house (especially into first floor from your neighbour's example). Boost up on aircon grille. Reach roof tiles and 1st floor already, no ladder needed. Climb in to 1st floor.

For the ground floor.. the grilles need to be uprated very much as a intruder need a sparkplug to break glass or a flat screwdriver to snap it, and a cheap car jack to jack out the mounting/grille itself. Not noticeable on thunderstorm nights.

When at the RFQ stage can be specified.. and based on the packaging of the stuff you can crosscheck against the monier roofing system website/diagrams.
