Looking for opinion and suggestion for kitchen cabinet colour combination that would not go out of fashion the next 5-10 years and that is easy to maintain. - What is the best neutral kitchen cabinet colour that will last for a while (next 5-10 years)? - Is it ok to have the top wall kitchen cabinet colour different from bottom base kitchen cabinet colour? I am thinking to have glossy white colour top wall kitchen cabinet matching with either (a) a neutral grey bottom base kitchen cabinet colour or (b) a neutral wood colour bottom base kitchen cabinet colour matching with a marble print quartz countertop. -Would white top glossy cabinet difficult to keep clean? -I read somewhere that it is not recommended to have a glossy bottom base kitchen cabinet as it can get scratched easily. Is it true? Please share your experience and opinion (no right or wrong answer). |

Whether it get scratch easily or not, it depend on your product quality.
It's just that getting a scratch on gloss surface is more obvious. For the colour matching, it's just the matter of preference and darker colour tends to cover up dirt stain. |

White or light grey would be nice. Beige/brown to me screams cheap (similar colour as those common elcheapo kitcab offerings out there)- What is the best neutral kitchen cabinet colour that will last for a while (next 5-10 years)? - Is it ok to have the top wall kitchen cabinet colour different from bottom base kitchen cabinet colour? Neutral grey (but make it light like 10-20% grey) would be evergreen. Eyecatching things like dark red..dark green will go out of fashion very fast. Glossy kitcab is equivalent to having a brand new black car paintjob. Dark colour swirls will be more obvious than on lighter colours. To keep them safe, use microfiber to wipe, not old t-shirt. No need expensive brand that sound like nowek, for one of those u can purchase full box of these https://shopee.com.my/product/4228218/2699462978 - absorbent and swirl-free. If you go the ikea route with cheap doors/drawer fronts, the option to change is always easy. If using the more expensive doors/drawer fronts from ikea like mine, I don't plan to change colour often This post has been edited by ceo684: Jan 16 2021, 01:47 PM |

White top and light grey bottom cabinet with a marble pattern quartz countertop. Hope that is neutral enough and stay classic/evergreen. |

I think I will go with white top and light neutral grey bottom kitchen cabinet with marble pattern quartz countertop. I think this combination is very neutral and stay classic/evergreen for a while. I dont like dark red, dark green, dark blue or black colour cabinets. Thanks for the tips. Appreciate it! |

QUOTE(sonerin @ Jan 16 2021, 05:15 PM) Black bottom cabinet might/may show scratch and dust easily (I think).I prefer a neutral grey or a neutral wood colour for bottom base kitchen cabinets to hide dirt and dust easier. I would consider dark grey instead of black if I want a darker colour. This post has been edited by house_hunter: Jan 17 2021, 02:11 PM |

Depends on your ID theme. In my opinion, now the trend is back to Matt surface for cabinet. ceo684 liked this post
