I noticed the product(s) sold in Malaysia under Carrozzeria and Soundstream brand not up to par like the Japanese/US version.

For example, Carrozeria Android player 9/10 inch does not come with apple carplay/android auto, and the latest full range speaker model is a blatant copy of soundstream malaysia fullrange speaker.

Is there shady things going on?

I felt the scam is too wide, not counterfeit item but branding theft. Although it is just a hunch, but still..

I think you misunderstanding about Android Automotive OS Vs Android Auto.. As at today no Android HU from branded company like Alpine, Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood & etc.. Branded HU c/w support Android Auto not consider pure Android HU.. That full range speaker you think soundstream is the 1st & own that design ka? Maybe you never seen Omni Beyond Full Range speaker intro into market 4/5 years ago & still doing well till today.. To me all those full range speaker in the market COPY Omni Beyond including branded one..

Carrozzeria malaysia seems to be ciplak brand. Original carrozzeria should be under Pioneer brand. Not standalone brand.

I think most of carrozeria in Malaysia is fake.
But they sell it and price it so confident like originals.

Base on what you claim Carrozeria product in Malaysia is Fake? As far I know Carrozeria brand name not belong to Pioneer and that why Pioneer use Carrozeria brand name only use in home market.. Carrozeria brand/name has been use by many company in Italy since early 1920.. Sport Car, Car design co & etc..

Sometimes, less is more.

Android auto is driver focused, whereby many things/functions are simplified so as to make driver not losing focus on the road. There is no need to scroll through app list, important items is just few clicks away.

Besides, having songs and playlist in phone and playing it in android auto is a lot intuitive, because theres no need to update it on another device built in the car.

As for branding, I can now safely surmise Carrozzeria Malaysia is just a company riding on Pioneer popularity, their product are just rebranding

actually there are a few. I think alpine and pioneer already started to offer android head unit players but usually its on the highest tier.

Nope all those model only support Android Auto & Apple Carplay including the latest model & not pure android HU like all cap ayam flooded into our market except Dasaita.. Me, already 2 years past but still not sure which one should I invest 2.. haa haa..
