I started to see ppl mention exynos as in negative factor.. but benchmark online said it on par or could be better than the SD888.. anyhow i'll just grab 🍿😁

QUOTE(taphie78 @ Jan 16 2021, 09:41 AM) Jz ordered my Ultra 512gb Regarding charger.. on my N20u, only the original samsung charger can give the super fast charging. My other third party charger cannot.. its a huge battery, it will take ages to charge without super fast charging.. the iphone charger is even slowpoke..Has been Iphone fan since iphone 4 was waiting Samsung to change Exynos but i guess now 2100 should be the answer to Snapdragon. For the part of price down and so on and so forth .... it will be trend - rember we buy phone not for resale value but we really love it and enjoy using it.. new model will be out less than a year... charger? i had unused iphone chargers and 6 other 3rd party chargers sitting at home coz i used wireless charging 99% of the time.. y i need to care if thy no longer provide - ultimately nobody will care...in a year or 2 Micro SD- we iphone users already used to it from the beginning... Conclusion : migrating from iphone to samsung android - samsung features is overkill compared to iphone especially camera dept. reliability : will hav to see. QUOTE(msacras @ Jan 16 2021, 02:19 PM) For some reasons, N20U is the slowest charging model among all its other galaxy peers launched last year, despite having smaller battery capacity (vs S20U) Samsung never have the fastest charging, especially after the S7 boom fiasco. The samsung super fast charging is just 25w, its nothing compared to chinese phones crazy fast charging.. iphone is out of equation, small battery.. my reply just now was just to enlighten the guy who just moved from iphone, he thought he wouldn't mind without charger included, but i guess he will still have to buy a third party charger that support samsung super fast charging, for the sake of convenience![]() This post has been edited by un_id: Jan 16 2021, 03:19 PM |

QUOTE(taphie78 @ Jan 16 2021, 07:14 PM) Guys..try to avoid daily or frequent superfast charging ya... from my experience. I got my Iphone Xs a year ago, due to its darn low mAh i barely finish my day without recharging. so fast charging is a compulsory bisness - now my battery health is at 82% only I think the battery charge cycles mainly contribute to battery degradation.. not really the fast charging.. phone manufacturers will continue developing faster charging.. it is simply unavoidable.. using less than 10w charger nowdays simply outdated.. even if it does contribute to faster deterioration, it is unavoidable.. in fact, some recommended to keep you battery between 15-85%.. don't completely deplete, and don't overcharges.. if you practice overnight charging, your phone actually keep recharging to 100% over and over again overnightNormal adapter charging overnight is the best if your battery can last u the whole day. As far as i observed, if pre order from Samsung website - FOC extra ANC Type C buds with Code and galaxy fit if pre register buy on third party sites - no ANC buds and fit - but Wireless charger Trio For Fast charging - u wil never go wrong with 65watt super fast charger - watever brand also can - but need 65watt - i m using mi ZMI - it can fully charge my IPad Pro 12.9 in less than 90min. But the higher the Wattage the faster ur battery will degrade. IOS is super slow to adopt new features and definitely agreed with the difficulty of large files esp Media transfer.. the Lightning cable is a prehistoric speed cable - abit better than USB 2.0 - who use USB 2.0 now? I saw many ifag butthurt posting lousy comment on S21 and price. As an chronic iphone owner myself - I only want a phone that serve me well.. why care which brand? Exynos 2100 is major upgrade from prev generation, heating issue- i only can hope for best. |

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Jan 16 2021, 11:08 PM) Faster charging is not that useful in hot country like Malaysia as even the manufacturer says 100 W, the phone will only charge at lower wattage. Lithium based battery is not meant to be fast charge due to heat generation and heat will degrade battery cell, hence, less suitable unless we are talking about Graphene battery which is very efficient and generate less heat for ultra fast speed changing. 😁 I'm not even talking about 64w 100w charging, but to my experience just 25w charging is way more convenient than 10w.. nowadays the battery capacity is 4000-5000mah unlike 2000-3000 few years back.. 25w should be the bare minimum charging speed imo.. in fact this has been debated in other thread last time, there is no solid evidence that fast charging (often related to heat generation) causes significant battery degradation.. when u said fast charging not that useful in country in malaysia, so if 25w become 20w, so even worst for 10w non-fast charging rightThis post has been edited by un_id: Jan 16 2021, 11:46 PM |

QUOTE(Ssssan @ Jan 16 2021, 11:58 PM) there's smart charging feature on both IOS and android to reduce the chance of keep recharging to 100% over and over again, although I'm not exactly sure how effective it is Well if we left phone on charger overnight, its exactly 100% when we unplug next morning.. means if the battery drop to less than 100%, it charges it back to 100%.. although i also not sure how many times that happen throughout the night |

QUOTE(silrave @ Jan 17 2021, 12:15 PM) when i go google see samsung ultra 20 5g price ... Ya why don't just wait until next year, when ppl buy S22, can buy cheap S21... in fact every year is like this one 🤣.. by that logic, for now you should buy S20.. next year buy S21.. always 1 year behindjust half year drop till 3.2k for new phone... i think i may be skip wait it drop till price ok, then i only buy > < |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 18 2021, 11:44 AM) But I thought many reports are pointing the blame towards the poor design the the Mi 11 internal design that contribute to the overheating issue? Samsung manufacturing dept:Then this year the Exynos might have a chance to beat the SD888 then? Guys, now that Qualcomm asks us to manufacture their chip, lets screw theirs so that our Exynos prevails this year 🤣🤣 KCY3701 liked this post

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Jan 21 2021, 06:36 PM) Values are relative. Intangibles have no value per se in the sense that it is subjective. So, yeah, if you value the ecosystem, the price you pay for a device is secondary. Yes the price is too high for a phone.. long time ago i already rant when phone price exceeding 3.5k lol.. but to no avail, it keep on hiking now even reaching 6k mark.. due to this, to me the most logical solution for us consumer is to use the phone for at least 2 years.. unlike last time i tend to get a new phone every year.. not anymore..But most consumers who by the way have much to compare with, will, given that other brands with similar specs do not ‘hawk’ their products with such premium prices. And I reiterate, values are relative. So, it’s up to each individual to decide for him/herself what he/she deems worthy to acquire and at which point in time. |

QUOTE(carpathia @ Jan 24 2021, 06:47 PM) Question - what cable are you using ? you have to use those that handle the wattage la ..... and also.... aukey 65w charger only works if it's through their PD output, cannot charge 2 device at 1 time, they will split the 65w to 2 devices instead of 1 . I tested the samsung own cable, so must not be the cable issue.. plus the cable i always use with the aukey charger can charge my ipad pro fast too.. i think bcoz of different charging technology used in samsung devices.. if i check on market, can see a few charging type too, but I'm not sure which for samsungUgreen good brand. i buy too many of their stuff lol This post has been edited by un_id: Jan 24 2021, 07:02 PM |
