QUOTE(Zellwong @ Jan 15 2021, 08:32 AM) I'll choose s21 after i confirm the performance of exynos 2100, if it's as good as the rumours, if still the same cacat exynos, I'll go for the s20fe cpu might be better or on-par , but gpu-wise mali isnt going to be nowhere close to adreno, somemore exynos always has inferior signal reception |

QUOTE(Zellwong @ Jan 15 2021, 08:41 AM) I have a colleague with exynos note 10 + and he told me his phone signal is so bad he want to switch back to apple. And initially I wanted to change to s20 series, but when i saw Korea's Samsung using snapdragon, totally no feeling to buy hahaha. It's like they also not confident in their chip in their own country and they ship to us. Adui. I'm wondering if this year the Korean unit uses the Snapdragon or exynos ya, it really hurts when u buying flagship phone but still have lousier signals compared to even midrange using SD unless this exynos 2100 really proves all wrong with better/on-par cpu, gpu, signal reception, heat management guess once we got to know korea using SD or exynos then can know whether exynos is still sampah This post has been edited by lambsauce: Jan 15 2021, 08:48 AM |

QUOTE(KCY3701 @ Jan 15 2021, 12:27 PM) | Model | Malaysia | United States | South Korea | Singapore | samsung really so confident with its exynos this time is it, still dare to price higher than countries using SD
* Above listed are all RRP listed on the pre-order pages in these respective countries. Currency conversion done on XE. ** For South Korea, there is a 13% discount if paid with Samsung Card, so after the discount, all prices are cheaper than Malaysia. Conclusion: Only Singapore more expensive than Malaysia, whereas cheaper in South Korea (with 13% discount) and the United States. ironically korea itself using SD again, interesting |

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Jan 17 2021, 11:22 AM) Go search the video of new iqoo phone. They are also using S888 and they don't have the same problem like Mi11. So now people suspected that the culprit is on Mi11 design, or the optimization is poor. Either way, we probably won't know the real cause, until some expert dissemble the phone and check the internal. I recommend xyzone channel for that. interesting, seems like iqoo heat mgmt with that big ass VC is superior mangjudging the size of VC on mi 11 compared to 10 pro, it seems to shrink abit but this SD 888 indeed generates lots of heat , samsung s21 might upcar this time liao coz i dun think its VC is this big |

See really exynos good this time or SD sucks. if can wait for the amd gpu next yearIf good, probably can wait S21 FE then if can wait for 2nd gen amd gpu so it's more stable n refined even best kenot keep waiting la , else apa pun tak boleh buy |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 18 2021, 01:23 PM) I think with all the issues plaguing the SD888, it seems like the safest best would be to avouid it totally. I'm sure nobody would be willing to pay top dollar for a phone which overheats and has many issues as per SD810 last time. None of the phones with SD810 perform well in the end. Seems like a write off for the SD888 if all these is true. whats ur SD865 device?Still not going to buy Exynos. Going to stick with my SD865 then. |

tbh samsung is being greedy af when they know they are the dominant android player, apple gives 12 mini & 12 the same class camera used by pro variant, while samsung literally put last gen s20 camera modules on s21 (non ultra)

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Jan 20 2021, 12:35 PM) Indeed. I compared my S20+ (QHD) to S10 lite (FHD). Not much difference. so native 1080p on s21/+ should be ok n not blurry? But on S20+ itself, if I switch it to fhd mode, the difference can be noticed instantly. It's indeed blurer than its native mode. At the end, it's still depend on personal preference. For me, I found out S10 lite (native FHD) is better than S20+ (downgraded to FHD). So unless you use QHD mode on Samsung flagships, if not, the sharpness (using naked eyes) is basically the same with other cheaper FHD Samsung phones. |

QUOTE(batman1172 @ Jan 21 2021, 10:40 AM) hey guys. tbh, s21/+ is downgrade in most aspects compared to s20/+ to me Just wondering if I should get the S21 or the S21 Ultra. I don't see much point in paying almost double for the ultra. Is it that good? but given that our local sets have exynos in s20/+, a rather fairer comparison would be with s20 fe 5g, which seems to be better buy for s21 ultra, i guess if we plan to use the phone for long, its camera should be capable to tahan This post has been edited by lambsauce: Jan 21 2021, 11:08 AM |

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Jan 21 2021, 11:12 AM) Wait. Don't judge too fast my friend. According to latest reviews/tests, 21 exynos perform A LOT better than 20 exynos. Despite of the possible overheat issue, the performance should be better than S20fe 5g (theoretically). if comparing s21 exynos to s20 exynos, i agree that it is a lot of improvements, but if compared to sd 865 it is really not much...of course, S21 is still a downgrade compared to s20, in term of features (SD slot/QHD screen). But for people who don't mind about these 2 features, then S21 is the better choice. for s21/+, their camera modules are literally the same as last gen, n no microsd are really unacceptable to me if we have official s20 series (non FE) with SD, it would be so nice This post has been edited by lambsauce: Jan 21 2021, 11:21 AM |
