Samsung 25W charger charges at full speed(25W) most of the time. Their 45W just a little bit faster than 25W for just a few minutes(provided if u charges from 0-100), if you charges from 30-100 then both took the same time to charge.

My phone is 4 years old with 20w fast charging and now 2021 only cap at 25w. Thats kinda slow by today standard sadly.

And Samsung kind of gone in reverse if they omitted the 45W charging which they introduced back in Note10 era.

Though to be fair, blindly pushing for faster charging speed but not finding ways to mitigate the heats generated when doing so will likely backfire as the battery degrading excessively prematurely.

To me battery degradation is nothing compare with how fast current society changing phones so long can last good few years. If they intro superfast charging at least is a new feature that i believe alot ppl will prefer bt they only care to update the camera year in year out. Or might be they reserve good innovations to their foldables who know.

this round no need to struggle choose SD888 or Exy2100, because both chip are make by Samsung Fab tongue.gif

last time SD show different compare to Exy because , SD make by TSMC Fab & Exy make by Samsung.
TSMC are world 1st chip maker even with same 7nm manufacturing tech, TSMC still best of the best!
this year for flagship chip, TSMC only manufacture Apple A14 & Huawei Kririn9000 order!

as such SD888 or Exy2100 will perform equally due to same Samsung Fab 5nm manufacturing process doh.gif
Good luck to thermal handling for both SD888 & Exy2100 bangwall.gif

In another word if one overheat the other will overheat too. Thats bad for consumer, not much option

It's because Samsung only sent S21 and S21 ultra to the tech reviewers. So none of them have the chance to review the S21+. I also dunno what's Samsung's strategy this time. It seems that they are purposely ignoring the existence of S21+.

I think samsung want more promo and exposure for ultra

Imo they should slap a 45 or 65w charger this year and ditch it next year. 25w is a joke for 2021 plus alot sammy use complain batttery issue after 2 years so don't tell me slower charging will prolong battery life. Sigh...

Samsung experienced the battery exploded nightmare few yrs back. that's why they will not go for full force anymore.

BTW, all premium flagship normally will not go for high watt ... Apple is same also. Because the more faster it charge, more heat generated and explode risk is there.

Only China phone they dare go up to 65W. but battery life span will not be good.

No bad news so far since those fast charging by chinaphone. Srs fast charging is a very good feature and selling point. Those who say battery lifespan no good never tried one.

No need to defend Samsung really.

If I sell you one galaxy s21 that charges at 60w and another at 25w, both at the same price. Its gonna be plain obvious which one you will take.

The truth is, without Huawei, Samsung no longer has any competitions in the mass consumer market. Their sole competitor is Apple and since they only offer 20w charging speed, why bother?

Cuz sammy still release small phone 6.2 inch consider small nowadays along with no notch and inscreen fingerprint which not much manufactures offer.
