Yes. It's less sharper than S20+. But once you get used to it, you won't notice it. For me, it's not a big deal. Probably because I already get used to S10lite screen, which is also fhd. So I have no problem with that.

Small tip for you, don't compare your phone to other qhd phone. If you keep compare it, your brain will keep telling you the difference. Stay away from your old phone. Just focus on your new phone.

Oh and one more reason bro you may forgot. S21+ factory screen protector is just a plastic film. So it will affect the clarity in certain extent. For example, I used my S10 lite with factory screen protector for about 7-8 months. After I took it off, I found out the screen clarity is improved. So ya. May be you can take the screen protector off your S21+. To test the power of victus screen. Lol.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you the possible factor that make you feel not sharp in your S21+ screen.

Oh sorry bro. I don't play mobile game. Haha. After using it for 2 days, the battery learning pattern is still running. But so far I can tell the followings (compared to my ex S20+).

1. Battery life is great! Especially browsing internet (wifi)

Both in Fhd + 120hz

S20+ : 6-7 min drained 1%

S21+: 14-15 min drained 1%
2.  Standby drain excellent! No more battery life leakage!

S20+ :  8 hours drained 3-4 % (wifi on)

S21+ : 8 hours drained 1-2 % (wifi on)
3. Stay at 100% for longer time (battery percentage calculation more accurate)

S20+:  dropped to 99% in 15-20 min after full charged.

S21+: dropped to 99% in 8 hours after full charged.

4. Signal reception great. Especially wifi reception. (4G not tested yet due to MCO 2.0)

S20+ : 2-3 bars at the same spot

S21+ : 3-4 bars at the same spot

5. App installation. S21+ is faster than S20+. The difference is significant.
Summary: Exynos 2100 is far more superior compared to Exynos 990. No doubt about that!  As for gaming, I can't tell you how it performs. But for battery life, I can assure you that this S21+ is a beast!

Looks like you still can't get used to the screen resolution on your phone. It seems that you can't get rid of the idea that this phone is less sharper than your previous phone. You must try to get this "lesser ppi" thinking out of your head. If you can't do this, then this feeling will keep bothering you whenever you use the phone. Then I am sorry to say that this phone is not for you bro.

You attached to your S8 for too long. S8 is a small phone, and small phone will always get sharper resolution compared to large phone. You should buy the small S21 instead. But it's too late to regret now. I can only suggest you to get rid of your S8. Sell it or give it to your family members or keep it in your drawer. Don't look at it. It may sound extreme but it's the most effective way to help you adapt to your new phone.

Don't think the S21 will make a difference for him. It is still about 100+ PPI difference between S8 to S21.

It is very difficult to satisfy someone who puts a lot of emphasis on PPI. I've known a few people who are overly sensitive to the screen as well. They ended up switching to some other phone.

On a few articles that I read, they does not emphasis on the higher PPI, as differences on the PPI is hard to be notice by human eyes (unless you stick your eyes to the screen   ) and also will increase power consumption of the phone. Instead they emphasis on good display with better colour accuracy and better readability under the sunlight.

Went to fees Samsung store and all no stock for S21+. Left S21 and Ultra only. S21+ demand so high or theymis calculate the demand

I know some people are hoo-haa-ing about exynos 2100 inferior performance compared to snapdragon 888, after watching Mr. Whosetheboss video.

But here's another review video from another tech youtuber, Booredatwork.com, who is saying otherwise. People asked him down the comment, said why his result is different with Mr.whosetheboss. He replied he doesn't know. LOL. And some people suspected that there's either something wrong with Mr.whosetheboss phone, or he is misleading.


So who should I believe? I believe the one who did the real life test, which is Booredatwork.com. I am not saying that Mr.whosetheboss testing is false. But his conclusion is all based on the benchmark apps. Heck. He didn't even play any games on his phones to test it out. He just keep using different beanchmark apps to test those phones again and again. And we all know those benchmark scores results do not represent the real life experience. On paper, yes. SD888 beat down Exynos 2100. But in real life performance, both of them are almost the same. Do we buy smart phone based on those numbers and figure? Or do we buy the smartphone that suits us the best? I dunno you guys. But for me, I don't really care anymore. It's not like I am using the phone to join some speed contests. As long as I am satisfied with its performance in my daily life, then it's a good phone. Period.

Arun testing is not wrong, just another method to test sustained performance. It just test the worst case scenario as it test on the extreme side of things.
Yeap, I agree nobody use it like that in real life. It just showcase the capability of the hardware and how it handles if push to the max.

It is like comparing a drag race between Perodua Myvi vs Proton Iriz on which car can cross the finish line 1st, which is also consider a benchmark.
But why do it you may ask, they are not racing cars, so whats the point. We don't race on public roads under normal circumstances so this so call benchmark is useless or stupid.
They do it because they can while also doing it for fun or we can call it in the name of science.

Is it an important test? Maybe not. But can you get any meaningful information out of it? Absolutely.

By knowing which car can cross the finish line 1st, we can get to know how fast the car shifts its gear and also how fast it can accelerate. This metric can be used to determine the time it is needed to accelerate to a certain up to speed which can be useful if you wanna overtake a slower car, whether you car can cut it fast enough or not when switching lanes or even when making a turn on fast moving public road within the split second (whether you successfully turn and accelerate on time without crashing on another car or if your car too slow too react and it cause a collision with another car).

What I'm trying to convery is we should not take the result of the drag race as an important metric to measure speed, but we can look it at another perspective as in we can learn how the car behaves during the drag race test and use those information and apply it in real world application.

I'm not sure if my car analogy make sense here but I hope it does and you get to see the bigger picture out of this using a so call benchmarking app.

I also installed T-Max UV TG (from Shopee) last night, turned out a lot dust within the glue, and now the dust is all over the screen underneath. Fingerprint sensor also couldn't work despite putting a 50 cents coin on top of the scanner before curing it with UV light. At least, this TG is case-friendly with the official silicon case with S-Pen.

Can anyone recommended reliable good TG brand that can work with fingerprint scanner?

Get the ultra. I have the plus and feels Samsung cut way more corner than they should. Even the vibration motor is inferior. Fine if it is inferior to the ultra, but not when it is inferior to the last generation S20 plus. I'm selling it off now lol
