I got my Tmax Tempered Glass today from Shopee. Seller is from China. Came with the full set including the tray and uv light for rm39.90.
First time trying a full glue TG since the prices have come down to what I consider an acceptable price.
Followed the instructions that came with the box and watched a few YouTube videos before the attempt.
Installation process wasn't too hard, the tray helped a lot but I still messed up a bit with the glue
it wasn't exactly centered so a bit of the glue spilled to the right side of the phone, otherwise after less than a minute the glue spread evenly on the phone.
Did the UV curing as per the package instructions and did not do the coin covering fingerprint sensor trick as some vids showed.
There were a few points where the glue didn't reach completely but they include a plastic "repair card" where you can add on the glue to those edges which were missed.
End results pretty satisfied as I was able to get it centered
The fingerprint sensor worked after the curing process but a bit slow so I reregistered all my FP. After reregistering FP works pretty well but doesn't feel as snappy as without the TG.
Might get another piece of TMax and try with the coin trick once this one gets scratched badly / breaks
Good feedback. Ive ordered mine from China as well. I checked out one video, the guy asked not to spill out the whole glue to get better sensitivity of the FP scanner. Usually the China included-guidance tray for the TG to align isn't always perfectly made. Sure not 100% aligned one. Based on experience of installing some China branded TG on previous phones before. The best tray would be from Whitestone. But the price isn't worth it anymore.
I've tested the Ugreen TG on my 12 Pro Max and it costed less than RM20 with inclusive tray (not liquid TG though) but surprisingly the quality of glass is a whole lot better than most of expensive TG I've ever used on my previous phones. Was hoping that they would have the same TG for S21 Ultra but to no avail.
