This can be done by any phone, if you focus on it properly.

Hi, I am taking it upon myself to put out there to forummers here, who may not be in the know, lest they be unduly worried.

And I say this in the sincerest of ways. It’s good to share. In fact it’s encouraged. But your experience is based on a SD S20 Ultra, not the 21. As the current Exynos variant is of a newer iteration which more than a handful have testified to its vast improvement, it may not, in this heat issue, be due to the SoC. Yes, SD as we speak is still a better chip but if you do not expound based on apple to apple, then there is always an area of uncertainty.

No ill will or intent but saying just so those uninitiated seeking advice do not get misled.

But but but.. you are paying top dollar but getting something that performs lesser. Wouldn't that constitute getting shortchanged? hmm.gif  rolleyes.gif

I agree with your statement. However, as I have always philosophised, each individual buys his/her phone to suit his/her own needs. So, whilst you are absolutely right, so long as that individual knows what he is paying for and taken cognisance that there’s a ‘twin brother’ which is better out there at the same price and doesn’t care, all’s good, shortchanged or not.

make sure u delete your old registered finger print first...after apply then register new finger print bruh

Since you have advised on this twice I can’t help but ask. How does it make a difference if I delete my registered fingerprint before or after applying the new screen protector?

I was thinking the same. After all, the phones can register several fingerprints so why need to delete the old ones?
*
When you apply a different SP it is good and in fact recommended to re-register your fingerprint. Reason being with the new ‘skin’ recognition of your fingerprint takes on a new dimension.

My query is more to why must we delete BEFORE removing the old SP. Any disparity if we were to delete AFTER removing the old one and replacing with the new SP? That’s the part that has me scratching my head.

this is because the first time u register your fingerprints was on th phone screen...so when u put TP glass there is a second layer of glass that will make it hard for the sensor to read your previously registered finger print....so it is wise if u want to install a TP then deleter theregistered fingerprint...then after u have applies the TP register it back...and to make it more sensitive...turn on the sensitivity option in the phone to get better result...so after u have installed the TP the sensor will go pass thru both the phone screen and tempered glass...

Thank you for expounding but you are completely off tangent insofar as my query is concerned.

My query is why your advice which you stated not once but twice that we must delete the registered fingerprint BEFORE removing the SP that we want to get rid of. Can’t we do the latter and mind you, I agree on that point which I have stated in my reply to another forummer who also misinterpreted the issue, AFTER removing the old and applying the new SP?

However, as it stands based on your response above, you probably just erred in structuring your sentence correctly. I hope you understand it now.

Actually the order does not matter at all, whether to remove fingerprint 1st before installing new screen protector or if you choose to remove fingerprint after installing the new screen protector lol, your choice which one you prefer to do 1st. As long you use brand new fingerprint data after installing the tempered glass is the most important matter here.

I know that. But as he has posted twice advising what I queried about, I just want to clarify as he may know something we don’t. And that’s precisely why I asked.

I suggest you read my reply as well to another forummer who responded to me, which puts the issue in the right perspective as far as I am concerned.
