Dear Empire Total War community,

I am currently having a shit load of problem trying to run my copy of Empire Total War.

I have reinstalled both steam and Empire Total War more than 3 times, unfortunately the problematic message "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time." keeps reoccurring, it's seriously very annoying not being able to play a game i paid so much money for.

I've tried everything that was stated in this website. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article...=4595-WEXN-6831
Yet to no avail.

I seriously don't really mind not being able to play in multilayer, all i want to do is play the god damn game!! Yet it doesn't let me do it.

Any solutions or help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Turn Steam to offline mode if you dont want to play multiplayer.
Sorry I couldn't attach any screenshots of the previous multiplayer marathon but...

Regentcid is the player of the week for a good display of finesse in the land battle and aggressive naval manoeuvring. COngratulations...I promise screenshots in the next multiplayer marathon.

The exact same words appear! Even in offline mode.

Hope this information can help solve my problem.

How much free space do you have on your hard disk?

Also make sure you've done the install c++ 2005 redistributable solution and

disable AV/firewall...after disabling your AV then verify game cache...

I have around 60gb space left after installing Empire Total War.

I have tried both the C++ 2005 and Verifying Game Cache solution, both to no avail.

I have googled my problem, seems like not just me, but many people are also facing the same problem. No solution has been found yet unfortunately.

This is really very disappointing as this is the first time I am using steam.

I hope i did not make a mistake buy purchasing an overpriced original game.

Is it possible for you to download any demo on Steam to see if that launches properly?

Shall try to do this, will report my results when its done.

Based on what I have found out...if game is not available even in offline mode, that means the game is not up to date...It hasn't 100% updated to the latest version.

Also, Streamyx has been having problem and this could have exacerbated the problem of downloading updates...there has been about 4/5 updates for Empire so far..Which means after install your game should update that many times.

Usually verifying the Game cache will force steam to download latest updates...

PS : Make sure your steam download region is set to Singapore btw...

Also have patience...I'm also having problem with Steam login and connections these days thanks to TMnut...restoration is underway i heard..
DO try a demo to see if another game runs...report back...

I'm not sure how many times did my copy of the game update itself. I left it on the whole night to let it update.

As for the Game Cache verification, it goes up to 100% then says ready.

I've just reinstalled my game another time. Hope it makes a difference this time..

Still updating, here's a picture of it. Do click launch the game?

Attached Image

Edit: Alright i just found out, the patch that is required for me to download is certainly much bigger than what i have download.

From what I have seen, the patch is around 1gb+, but so far the update steam has given me is only about 50mb.

I've tried verifying the cache, yet it doesn't seem to encounter any problem, which sadly to say, means that I am unable to update my game.

Anyone encountered this problem before?
