coz now my colleague want to rent out his room and plan to buy 1 aircond.

But afraid of the tenant buka aircond 24h/day, he plan to but smaller horsepower aircond

for a small room (50sqft) 0.5hp is more than enough. was looking one before (for my home office) but nobody sell in malaysia. 1hp is overkill for a small room.

yea. dis. but malaysia no more sell this kind of ac. all split ac nowadays. maybe becoz it is more lucrative selling split unit. plus u can charge more for installation as opposed of just parking it on window.

Only stupid will buy the old type 0.5 hp AC. The efficiency is so low, you end up paying more electric than new 1hp AC.
