Hi,

What determines if it's too late for having a baby ? Is there some age ? If a woman is 45 years, can she still conceive ? Are there any new medical advancement in this regard ? Any risks etc. What about guy's age limit ?

Thanks.

For guys, no limit.
For ladies, the older u r, the more difficult it is to get pregnant. Higher risk of down syndrome babies with older ladies. Older age, higher risk during pregnancy

At 45, it's a little over the 'safe age' to conceive, but then again, the pregnancy may suffer the risk of early termination. My youngest brother was born when my mother was 40, and my wife gave birth to my baby girl at the age of 39, some 21 years ago. Subsequently, she suffered two incomplete pregnancies about two years later.

I would advise you to see a doctor for a consultation. They will offer to take a fertility test to see if you can still get pregnant. And if you're still fertile, the doctor will tell you about all the future risks and give you lots of advice on the subject. The main thing now is not to wait too long to see your doctor, because the longer you wait, the less chance you'll have. Good luck to you!

For guys no limit correct, but younger males have a higher spermcount.
The female is clearly the biggest factor for your chance to conceive, but if you have a older woman + younger male it does compensate a little bit at least.

For females generally speaking untill 30 it's easy to conceive, 30-35 it's a bit harder, 35-40 it's very hard, 40-45 best chance is IVF .
Also important to note if a female was pregnant before it slows down the age factor. So if a woman has a child at 28 for example and at 44 deciddes I want another child ! it's more likely for that woman to conceive than for a first time mother. This explains why sometimes married couples have "accidental " younger children compared to the rest of their children.

men no pause.

women have chance to conceive as long as there is still menstrual cycle.

the issue is the risk of complication in pregnancy and genetic defects in fetus becomes higher the older the pregnant person is.
