I believe most if not all IPTA is relatively reputable including those like UNIMAS, UNIMAP, UMP, etc.
Not to mention IPTA's generally retain their MQA (and the likes) accreditation better than most private uni.

Also, RM 900+ fees and RM 500+ hostel per sem, no brainer for middle or lower middle class students

Reminds me of the in house University fair my SMK did last time. (Penang) Mostly lapsap colleges never heard before

For example
1) College that everyone can enter - even if your SPM fail Bahasa. Usually operate at rumah kedai/random colonial buildings in Penang Island
2) College brochure with lots of typos, I can even do better than that
3) College which collects RM1 each for us to register our interest. Wtf?
4) Some college with random Malay names, which the pegawai manning the booth doesn't even bother to promote.

Don't know how much they pay the school to even hold that stupid fair.

Edit: And Linton was not even there. So, today baru I heard about this uni.
