Hi everyone ! Just out of random thoughts, trying to gather everyone opinions if 2021 is a good time to buy property.

Me & my girlfriend are considering to get ourselves a new house in this year..  biggrin.gif Having known that a lot developers are kind of desperate now, with the pandemic affecting our entire economy, most of the properties now in the market offer really attractive price packages, rebates & so on..

So, is this a good time to buy ? Or should I pull handbrake first .. ?

Lemme know what you all think  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

This is the scary part. Created multiple accounts sometimes just to post in a single thread. This is will confuse those who are new in this scene or looking for genuine information.

Oversupply is oversupply but the rigid demand is still there.

If you are not getting smtg out of your own power, then its ok.

Just my opinion, if to buy for own stay, buy if you can afford. Important is you and your spouse happy

I did agree some said that property price is stagnant, and if buy for investment better wait first. but also don’t forget that the inflation as money printed much since 2020 and looks like will continue for years, 1mil buying power in 5-10 years later might be much much lower to 1mil today

I am a strong believer that property prices will plunge soon. During the boom time, the greedy developers have overpriced their developments and built way too many. Now with Covid, oversupply situation and strict lending policy, it's just a matter of time. The only saving grace is the low interest rate.

As long as the Covid-19 is still here, the property prices will remain stagnant and slightly dropped.

A lot of subsales dropping their prices but developers' project remain high price due to demand. Can see people rather buy developer units because of new, low or no down payment or in conjunction with HOC 2020.

When all these happened, it's time to buy instead of sell. But so many uncertainty, just wait and see.

Very true, especially those people think that lelong unit is a good price...but when you add up other cost almost back to square one. Matured area won't be dropping price especially in KV. Majority of the owner already paid of their houses, In other words they can hold if they want to sell. Maybe you're lucky only 1 or 2 unit but unlikely.

Financial stress doesnt mean is always about owing money to the bank. Owners have cash out property for medical treatments, finance children education, business expansion or to prevent debt action ...... etc.

In simple term, a property owner will sell if he needs the money, if borrowing is not an option.

Every property is sold or hold for a reason.
