What is the recommended mobile plans for unlimited hotspot? (with no caveats.. if there's such a thing)

For work purpose (heavy data usage) and on a temporary, month by month basis so contract is not recommended.

Thankks!

Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited. Now with unlimited internet (6Mbps) pass, entitled to add RM5 for unlimited hotspot.

Anyone try out? Not sure if the speed is good...

Seems like Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited is the best prepaid (non) choice? it has a 50gb per month FUP cap though.

Digi Infinite 150 is best for postpaid so far? havent seen any cap issues yet

Parking also as I posted another similar topic just now.
I just found people complaining Digi has a Fair Usage Policy applicable for Digi I150 also. The cap for Unlimited is actually 1TB per month. Anyone can confirm on this?

This one got FUP at 50GB (but still very worth, RM50 for 6Mbps hotspot of 50GB). Unless you torrenting or very heavy video user.

1TB a bit hard to finish, depending your usage. Normal work usage I think impossible to finish. If you deal with media then yeah can. Even regular zoom usage (estimate 1GB an hour due to higher res of Zoom compared to alternatives) is 1000 hours of meeting in 1TB.

In the end just make sure got line, any of the big 4 telco unlimited data will be good enough. Unifi mobile and YES also I think.

Yea our family have 4 WFH adults and we streams a lot...average usage can be around 20-50GB/day....so it's quite close to the 1TB cap...
Just wondering what will happen after the 1TB cap? Some users said the connection will be horrible?

Previously, after 1TB they will cap the speed to 10Mbps. Don't know if it's still the same now.

Try emailing them again and cc-ing SKMM/MCMC's Aduan email, we did that years back when the ports were reported to be full and it worked.

Your mileage may vary

try using unifi Air, no contract, rm79/month, unlimited hotspot...but u MUST CHECK coverage for band 38/40 first.....speed can vary from 10 to 50mbps depending on yr signal strength.
try checking either by borrowing someone's unifi Air sim card, or use unifi mobile (locked to band 38/40) to roughly gauge it

Unifi Air @ RM 79 monthly is still the best for the time being. No contract + unlimited usage.

Other telco unlimited 4G plans are mostly for 1 device (not hotspot)
, and if hotspot are with quota. There are ways to 'trick'. You have to search it yourself.

Tried: DiGi, Umobile, Celcom, Maxis, Yes

Yoodo use which Telco? I am worried there is no coverage in my area.

BTW anybody knows if Unifi Air support 5G. Website says 5G is only for Unifi Mobile, nothing on Unifi Air.

Thinking of buying a 5G modem, the Huawei H112 if it does.

yoodo is basically a subsidary of Celcom
but its status is unknown with the merger of Celcom and Digi, something something about being forced to sell it off
