Hi fellow forumers,

May I know what is the usual % of payment that is paid after all the renovation work is done (i.e. last payment)? And how long after the completion should we make the payment? want to know the market norm so that i can safeguard my interest as a consumer while being fair to my contractor.

Separately, may I also know the acceptable price range for the following works:

(i) to remove existing 4 ft concrete top and build a new 4 ft concrete top
(ii) supply & install 6'' LED downlights

Especially for the second item, I'm thinking if i should buy the downlights and install them myself to save me some money.

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm a contractor here.
The concrete table will cost you 3k to 4k and the installation is around RM 30 to RM 50.
