the rigs specs are

CPU - ryzen 5 3600
CPU cooler - Cryorig H7
GPU - rtx 3070 gigabyte eagle oc 8gb
MB - b550 gigabyte b550m ds3h
RAM - 16 GB
PSU - 650w Bronze

i have a problem with my graphic card (i think?)..which is the temperature of it when gaming (ultra setting at 1440p 144hz monitor) stay and maintain at 85c. all of my rig prior to this with a fan cooler usually the gpu maximum temperature were around 75-80c avg. so is it normal to have 85c temp on my rtx3070?...my cpu temp was ok around 70c-75c...i just need a confirmation about the gpu temp...

yah i bought it bundle..i kind hate the casing intake fan tho...its 2 intake fan top...1 exhaust fan at the rear...and 2 more intake setup fan on the front (but just plain casing wall)...therefore these 2 intake fan..i think do not take any air..useless...
and somehow im speculating because of that the gpu at the bottom get less air circulation..

i tried changing the setup of those 2 fan top into exhaust fan instead...but the temperature get worst after that...

i just need to know...is it common for the rtx3070 to have a temp 85c...thats all...

Suggest to flip the 2 fans on the top of the casing from intake to exhaust, this should see temps drop around 5-6 celsius easily

The GPU is doing a lot of work at 144 Hz / 1440p, so you could also limit fps to say 100-120 to help reduce temps further

You should be getting around 70-75 celsius after you do this

i did this..but the temperature increase to 87c instead..thx 4 the other suggestion tho will try it later

RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC 2nd Gen user here. Mine most of the time around 90c+ during game.

if alot of the same user can confirmed that 85c is normal..i think i can live with it tho..kind of a hassle to change the whole casing...not that i cannot do it on my own...just that what a waste of casing...ya know.

My GPU is Gigabyte RTX 3070 OC 8GB with Amd Ryzen 5800x.

GPU Temperature (1440p) => Idle : 46C  Max : 71C

This is after running COD Warzone MW campaign. Case is Aigo Darkflash DLX 21 Mesh. 3 fans in front and 1 at back.
sangtupperware, what games do you test with ?

The CPU 70-75C is it under 100% synthetic load or when gaming? If just gaming that seems pretty high and suggests casing issue?

By the way my MSI 3070 had been programmed to max out around 82-83C. Won't go any higher than this and the boost clocks will just get lowered. I undervolted my 3070 and it ran like 10C lower (some games really push the 3070 really hard and still run at some high temps even after undervolting)

Ya in my default afterburner setup..i noticed the max temperature is at 83c when 100% power is in used...so i though like hey maybe its normal...

i would not suggest turning the top fan as exhaust
your gpu is dumping excessive heat within your case, your front intake fan airflow will be blocked
therefore, the top intake fan will cool your cpu instead (1 fan close to cpu will be enough)

try with open case, then u will know if it's airflow issue

if the temperature cap were 83c in afterburner, how did it go into 85c and 87c?

i also dont know....but now after reverting back so that the 2 top fan into intake fan back..the temp is at 85c...

83C is the normal temps in your situation. Restricted airflow + mediocre heatsink design from the eagle + malaysia ambient temps will easily hit high 70s to 80s. Invest in at least gaming oc series from gigabyte if you want better temps and get a better case. There's a reason why cards are priced differently. It's not just aesthetics

ya i think i can live with this reason..well time to find myself a good casing then...
