At night.. I also face battery usage of 10-20% drop. I’m guessing the notifications and etc.
What I do... set up automation in Shortcuts. Once DND kicks in, low power mode is turned on and vice versa once DND is off.
Powerful usage for Shortcuts.
Charging wise... will do it during the day. Avoid charging overnight. Having those auto disconnect cable helps compare leaving it to Apple auto disconnect. But why not avoid altogether?
Find it preserve battery better. I’m a heavy usage person so unless u hardly use the phone.. by 1-2 years battery degradation will happen.

QUOTE(Sotsotzaii @ Jan 10 2021, 11:21 PM) If u drop 10-20% overnight when idle then i think mine is really really normal, coz i only drop 3-5% during idle overnight. So Im not really as bad. As for charging, I always charge manually, from around 40-80%, so apple OBC or auto disconnect doesn't kick in for me. But i just wonder why is there such thing as 40-80, wat is the logic behind charging at 40%? I know charging till 80% is to avoid battery strain, but not sure about the former. True. It depends on how many apps you got. What runs background and notifications you are getting. 40%? I saw some articles mention 60%. Could be wrong. The logic I understand, don’t drain the battery and therefore maintaining battery health.

QUOTE(Sotsotzaii @ Jan 11 2021, 09:33 PM) Hmm but apple themselves said background running in the back isn't actually running, their ram is frozen, it's just there for u to access them easily when u need to, it doesn't eat up any battery tho. Yeah I saw 40 60 75 too, but the most common is 40, because it's easier to charge on a real life day to day basis. I was thinking like maybe even 30 would be fine too, but no one mention that Yes it doesn’t run. But notifications coming in, the background app refresh will kick in and I guess there’s where the battery usage is. I did a test to disable notifications. So battery dropping 10% for me is normal in my use cases. To me.. don’t worry too much. Enjoy using the phone.
