I just recently got engaged and is currently planning for my wedding, do you think it is safe to plan it late 2021 say nov/dec or better to push it to 2022 due to the whole covid situation?

My wife and I are 32 years old and is going 33 by end of this year, plan to get everything settled if its possible. Abit in a hurry due to our age

Whats your thought about this? I can’t make up my mind as the dates are important to get other working parts going as well like photographer, live band, venues, etc.

If this year then need to be soon, but wait for monday first.. Maybe nov/dec as you said is a good time. If not just do online. no need call that many people. after covid maybe only do a grand one

I have 3 wedding invitation. All 3 keep postpone many dates. Until now no direction.

My advise to you, get the rom done and have simple dinner with small group of people. That's all you can do atleast next 6 mo.

Forget about photographer...hotel.....big dinner..videographer....tourism honeymoon. All this is not practical

You know, I agree with all of you, I'm trying to fast track this due to our age and is probably making irrational decisions... agrhhh

Just register first and have a small banquet for own family/close relatives.

The rest can wait. What to do... current situation is like that. Don't put guests at risk.

If you're in doubt about whether to move your wedding to 2022, you're better off having it in 2021. But if I were you, I wouldn't have a huge ceremony for 100+ guests, but a quieter, more private celebration. That way you can have the wedding this year and not have to worry about age and other details. And the money you save can be put aside for family planning or other expenses.
P.S. I would also advise you to discuss the matter in more detail with his future wife, and not seek advice from strangers on the forum. I'm sure she will be very pleased that you are talking to her about this and want to hear her opinion.

Yup still planning for the full suite of tea ceremony, church wedding and dinner for now. But let's see whether it can proceed.

Meaning with the hengai jimui games also? I'm also trying to think of other creative games that avoid physical contact.

Oh we were never planning on having those games, seems quite unnecessary.

Me also coming 32yrs old. So my husband and i ROM on last day of last year (at least get a legit licence in case in future tak jadi those ceromy, then still can have baby with "legal parents” lol!) Not going to have any those big big ceromony like play heng dai jimui games, or dinner in grand ballroom. We are planning after the covid thing subside, only then rent airbnb with big house compound and organise catering makan makan with relative and close friend will do. then can do the tea ceremony one shot in the airbnb also(these traditional is to do for old generation people see and get their blessing). as easy as that.

*because some elder people recognise "after ceremony" baru consider married, not ROM. this is why in earlier day couple do ceremony first baru go JPN ROM. however by legal once u ROM consider married already.

if covid thing still need take long time, maybe can have baby first (because the age thing, you know, higher risk if pregnant at older age), then baru do the tea ceremony. but by that time maybe you are not the main people, all the attention will be on your children hahahaha!

in the end still depend on you lar.. my plan is by far like this. share share a bit hope can enlighthen u a bit.

My girlfriend and I decided to get married in four months. But because of the covid situation, I decided to postpone the wedding until next year, and all my family except my girlfriend agreed with me. She was very angry with me because of my decision, and I recently found out that she cheated on me. I was shocked by this news and was very painful about the news. But I soon realized that if I had found out about it after the wedding, it would have been much worse, moreover, all my relatives would have found out about it.
