Hi

I need some opinions and experience for any of you who had ACL completely torn and did some treatment. I had mine diagnosed recently cry.gif cry.gif I really hate going to clinics or hospitals especially during pandemic...

I want to know:
1. Is there any other alternative treatment for completely torn ACL?
2. Which hospital did you guys went? Price? How long was your stay?
3. Did you guys went for rehab as well? Same hospital or to different medical centers?

1. Don't know. I really don't think so.

2. Sunway Hospital - Dr. Suresh George. Ortho. I went in ~2012, about RM20k (Insurance covered). Stay was about 10 days. 2 days I was down with anesthetics. lol

3. Yes, rehab / physio after... for about 2 weeks, everyday. Then, I went to back to Uni at the time with the knee brace. I wore the knee brace for a few months.

No issues whatsoever - as long you don't sit (bend knee) for too long.

If I remember correctly, mine was called "x-button" surgery - meaning the doctor did not cut my knee open for the operation. only small scars are visible.

acl reconstruction.
go for sport orthopaedic or orthopaedic who know how to do it.
5digit cost surgery.
after that, about 70-80% function restored.
