Unless your draughtsman have connections with MBPJ, then suggest get the one from MBPJ panel list. It make the process a lot simpler, especially the approval part. They are so used to submitting the drawings and they know all the do and don't so could save you some time. Price also I feel it's reasonable, but if you have someone to draw for you free, then it's diff case.

Did my reno couple of years back and end to end took about 2 weeks (helped by neighbour who's working in MBPJ to expedite), and about RM 4k or so. But this is just front extension and back extension without changing any structure to the house.
