hey guys, I've been on unifi DSL for like years now because I like having the router in my room since im the main user. But now considering to upgrade to fibre but then router will be outside, trying to figure out what's the most stable way to get a wired connection to my room.
Drilling is a no-no. So no way of routing cables through the walls. So im left with getting another router to use as an extender cum AP, or to try a powerline ethernet adapter. Any advice? Priorities are stability over speed. This post has been edited by siles1991: Apr 16 2021, 04:29 PM |

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Apr 17 2021, 12:50 AM) maybe you can explain, where the router would be (hall? downstairs?) and where is your room (1st floor?) I live in a condo, the router would be in the living room and my room is right behind the wall of where the router would be. I currently have my broadband router in my room up on a tall shelf and the WiFi isnt the best atm for the living room. Stability issues like im in my room and the wifi works on my phone but sometimes it doesn't work for laptops and phones in the living room. Current router is an ASUS RT-AC1200G+. |
