TM nowadays every efficient. Thursday morning live chat to enquire abt the 300mbps upgrade and CS says route it to marketing dept. Friday by 11am marketing called and I confirmed the upgrade. Sunday 1pm upgrade completed.

Bro, Deco normally comes in a pair. That’s how mesh works... lol... I think they are trying to tell u “1 set=1 pair”

U can try, but I but from my conversation with the marketing staff, TM bundled the deco as FOC hence price will be the same after 2 yrs.

As usual, before the 2 years end, they will come out with new ideas to increase its ARPU again n at the same time refresh ur contract. Ultimately, closing the gap to those being offered at low price due to pricing error/mistakes.

Yes, the marketing staffs will contact u. Unlike some says by filling the online form, ur order will be confirmed. The meaning of “order confirmed” means order for marketing team to call u. The marketing team still need to confirm the package you interested and to get your voice recording as to accept the terms of subscription.

Btw, I found this in myunifi app today, after my upgrade fulfilled last Sunday.

So instead of let the cs bs u, it’s best to talk to the marketing folks directly. By right the cs shld be instructed to route the request to the marketing team instead of acting as “firewall”.

Myself live chat with cs on thurs morning, Friday before noon marketing folks called me. Tht was whn the number of request way lower compared to now... but no sure the TAT for those submitted the online request.

U shld be happy, outside market only 500mbps package have 100mbps up. 100-300mbps supposed to get 50mbps up.

Coverage actually can be negated with more "packs" of x20 right?

Now i guess its just whether i want to future proof with Wifi 6 mesh or stick with a good wifi 5 mesh

If u have the budget, take Deco X90, it’s not just about future proof (as u can always upgrade ur router) but to improve the speed delivered by the satellite deco unit. Am quite surprised that I can still get 310+ via x90 as compared to 160+ via M9 for 300mbps package.

The speed tht u get from satellite depends on house size, walls set up and building materials. By comparing both M9 and X90, it gives me quite a very huge diff with stable results from speed test at 310+ (Deco M9 @ 160+) at a location 8 meters from the satellite deco (with 1 partition wall in between), if 3 meters directly facing the satellite deco (which located at Ground Living Hall) I can get the same speed as per main deco (Deco M9 @ 310+). FYI, main deco is located at 1st floor living hall, clocking at 320-328. However, once I am at Ground back kitchen (with 2 partition walls from the satellite deco), the speed drop till 25-30, I have to repurpose my Deco M9 to boost up the back kitchen speed, unfortunately using Deco M9 at back kitchen, I can only get 150+... quite confident that with 3rd unit of X90, I can get almost full speed too...

Hence, if u have slightly more budget, u shld try X90 it’s worth the investment. As I am on 300mbps package, I won’t be able to tell how the speed reading looks like for 500mbps and 800mbps. Btw, it’s not tht expensive whn I got it from 27.3 sales. Am
