QUOTE(aniq8676 @ Feb 23 2021, 01:48 PM) I recommend you make a voice call via100 and choose the fourth option (Products and promotions), from there it connects directly to the sales department, rather than to customer service. then, they will also ask for your unifi ID to confirm whether you are eligible or not for this exclusive promotion, they will also tell you in detail about this promotion including the terms and conditions About to register for unifithey will recommend you three exclusive packages 300mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 159 (FREE MESH M4 + STD20) 500mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 199 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20) 800mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 239 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20) If this is eligible for existing long customers Then would i still be eligible after register with unifi like after 2-3 months to switch to this? I already asked maxis/celcom for their 300mbps package but they don’t cover my area so unifi is my only option now This post has been edited by alucard89: Mar 6 2021, 08:18 PM |

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Mar 7 2021, 09:55 AM) 300mbps @ RM139 is a retention plan for Unifi users of 2018, it may not be available to new or users b4/after 2018. I see, untung for old unifi users, thanks for the detailsThose users may be eligible for the 3 plans you mentioned previously: 300mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 159 (FREE MESH M4 + STD20) 500mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 199 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20) 800mbps Loyalty Super Value - RM 239 (FREE MESH M9 + STD20) I have been on Unifi fiber for 4 months only, which is still under contract, got the upgrade offered via SMS. However, I'm not sure whether new users could get it or not. Furthermore, IINM users can only change plans to a similar subscribed plan after 1 month. By similar means, any add-ons shall be remained for 24 months as well, eg. mesh units or Ultimate Plus Box. So, I suggest you could try to get the offers after 1 month if they're not available for new user. Which package did you pick? Also, does it extend your existing contract? |

So the new fiber port just installed right in front of my house is fully reserved apparently.
There’s only like 11 house in my area, i highly doubt all of them are subscribing to unifi Agent mentioned only for streamyx users for now, which i cancelled 2 years ago because it was getting slower/no connection because cable stolen. Just wanna ask how long do you usually have to wait until it’s your turn for installation. |

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Mar 10 2021, 10:27 AM) Same agent in lowyat? I assumed you might have directly went to tmpoint for registrationI was just checking on fb group for unifi, and this reserved port is quite a common issue there Just when I finally could get fiber after more than 10 years waiting, now another obstacle |

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Mar 10 2021, 10:48 AM) No no, last time when TM's technicians were pulling fibers through a utility hatch beside my house Ahaa, I probably should've done that, just directly ask agent who's doing the workthat agent came to check on their work, so I ask her for contact info, and in the end, register through her. I waited for nearly 10 years before fiber broadband is available, 4 months after signing up for Unifi... Allo is coming...duh Reserved ports are normal lah, makes sense to reserve those for copper line users of their own. Previously all ports are locked to unifi subscribers for the first 30 days, other telco that rides on TM's infra had to wait for months for them to open the ports. After TNB joined the party, ports are open for all telco on day 1. Allo's got good price, but I don't see it coming to Kuantan soon enough Day 1 eh? When I try to ask at Maxis center they can't really guarantee when it could cover my area |

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Mar 10 2021, 11:16 AM) I let the agent do all the work, it's free anyway Speaking of Celcom fiber, how is their service anywayBetter than standing outside TM-Point waiting for your turn Maxis...I won't put my bets on them, Celcom seems to cover unifi-ed area much faster than other telcos. Doesn't like look like there's much going on in the celcom thread |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Mar 10 2021, 04:27 PM) Take picture and go to register at Tmpoint. Go to a proper one not deeler, ask to speak to their manager. Yeah, did that just nowIf you want to wait for agent, it will take time. Go to Tmpoint and show them pic of the DP in front of your house. After checking the reserved port list, 1 user already terminated streamyx just last January, I pon teros hop in |

QUOTE(jcws87 @ Mar 10 2021, 03:17 PM) You should go to TM point outlet bring together a picture of the FDP/port number. Thought a FDP/port have 8 port in it, TM can still split it with a 1X2 Splitter (tis wat happen to 1 of my neighbour hse). I see, so 8 ports doesn't really equal 8 users onlyI doubt the nonsense of port reserve for streamyx cust 1st. My house have cancel streamyx more than 5 year before unifi fibernation or bbf project but i still get to install it 1st before my neighbour who are still using streamyx. It based to your persistent to force/chase TM ppl. Haha, persistence is another factor it seems This post has been edited by alucard89: Mar 10 2021, 05:10 PM |

QUOTE(jcws87 @ Mar 10 2021, 05:59 PM) Yes, TM technician told me it can done from 8>16 per FDP/port with the 1X2 splitter. Meaning u will be sharing ur port with ur neighbour. Tis is wat happening to my port. For that to work, it has to be done by tm?It’s not like other isp like maxis, celcom can just come to add additional ports like that |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Mar 10 2021, 07:58 PM) Buy a TPlink AX20. Wanted to go for maxis for that 300mbps package initially, This is not cutting cue like Covid vaccine ok. He is paying for service. There is also no guaranty that there will be extra port left once streamyx users migrate over, and that will amount to another long long waiting time for them to add new port. So lucky of you. If you wait some more maybe someone will take over that port. Shortcut to achieve KPI of connecting more premisses with Fibre. If most ppl in that area subscribe to 800mbps then gg. But because of the whole reserve port issue, i just grab the 100mbps first since there’s no way to know when the next port available or will ever get released by tm to maxis. Then maybe try my luck for the loyalty package 😑 |
