QUOTE(terrytan @ Feb 8 2021, 11:10 PM) Hi Guys, Today i was offered by TMpoint staff to upgrade my unifi to 300 mbps with RM159 per month + free mesh wifi. However, i noticed that some people get 300 mbps with RM139 per month. Any idea how to get this? I asked the lady, she said this is the only offer which is RM159 per month. I dont need the mesh wifi since i already have one at home. I wish they offer me Wanna upgrade 300mbps but the original price now kinda high. I don't mind the mesh cause i can just pass to my parent house , lolz QUOTE(nyunyu @ Feb 9 2021, 03:13 AM) RM139 easy to get by just call them up and ask for it. Even adding the deco it should only add another RM15 per month for 2 years. You mean we can just pick up phone and try call for that offer? This post has been edited by TongCN: Feb 9 2021, 08:59 AM

QUOTE(laihuhng @ Feb 22 2021, 03:12 PM) Turbo --> Super Value YEP 2019 (currently) No T&C. Nothing. Something that you need to worry. I don't understand how TM expects anyone to submit with this clause, without T&C, offer details, etc. Worst is, no package price list at all. Mine super value YEP 2019 but no receive such email

Sounds like you plan to upgrade too. Try to call 100 then. Did call last time but mine is perpetual so cannot XD I wanna go 300mpbs with reasonable price like RM139 ~RM159

QUOTE(brianklc @ Feb 24 2021, 02:40 PM) Yes, the marketing staffs will contact u. Unlike some says by filling the online form, ur order will be confirmed. The meaning of “order confirmed” means order for marketing team to call u. The marketing team still need to confirm the package you interested and to get your voice recording as to accept the terms of subscription. Btw, I found this in myunifi app today, after my upgrade fulfilled last Sunday. So instead of let the cs bs u, it’s best to talk to the marketing folks directly. By right the cs shld be instructed to route the request to the marketing team instead of acting as “firewall”. Ok great. Now just wait them "offer" me the package i want, lolz. .

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Mar 1 2021, 09:00 AM) Deco app is correct because it is directly from router to modem to server. Your speedtest/fast.com is from your machine (PC/laptop/phone) which is connected via wifi. Those speeds means you are connecting via 2.4GHz probably. Connect by LAN/5G and you will see close to 300. Oh ya, now u mentioned. My office laptop connected to the Guest Wifi which is 2.4ghz only XD Thanks for the clarification. EDIT: I tested my xbox which using LAN cable using the the console own speed test and get this result:
I also use my android phone connected my main WiFi which is 5Ghz also getting 100mbps max Using iphone 11 also same, weird. But Deco App still shows 300+ mbps Router using was TP-Link X20 right now This post has been edited by TongCN: Mar 1 2021, 09:36 AM

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 8 2021, 11:18 AM) Really? Good to hear that, we can finally getting rid of it. I'm still trying to change Ultimate to Ruby but CS took gazillion years to pick up my call... I waited for 30 minutes last round, not sure if it is a good idea to use Live Chat as my plan is kinda special and scared they will screw it up without me talking to them. Since I will be registering a broadband plan in my new place soon, then I may consider back UniFi though I'm waiting for TIME to come in a few months later. Let's say if it doesn't, I can still consider UniFi now. My earlier preference was TIME > Maxis > UniFi. The latest Promo can remove 100% d, lolz .. At least now mine is RM159 for 300Mbps with Mesh Tp-Link M4 (RM20/month) Actually i dun wan that M4 but customer service dun let me cancel to become RM139 But oh well, another excuse to upgrade my parents house router then So under my account now, i no longer see unifi TV

QUOTE(Candy12 @ Mar 8 2021, 03:24 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think I've finally figured out what is the DAMNED problem with the sudden surge of bandwidth demand especially with Singaporean hosting servers/VPNs.
We Malaysian are the biggest losers when it comes to PRICING and ACCESS.
Why?
I've mentioned earlier that many of these VPS and cloud servers are shared VMs.
Malaysians are not the only users who share the same 1Gbps ports of these servers alongside other users.
Since Malaysians ISPs are telling their customers that if you're getting >90% of your subscribed speed with local test servers, we met our SLA as such, they've no commitment or responsibility to ensure good bandwidth outside the SEA region.
So what does it leaves us? Our neighbors both north and south sells 1Gbps plans for under MYR100/mth now. You might say their ISPs also practice the same SLA as us with guarantee only to local regional bandwidth with anything outside no guarantee.
Just like us, they've also caught up of the idea of using VPN/cloud servers to optimize their routes to other regions.
They pay less than 3 times for a 1Gbps line compared to Malaysians and when it comes to hogging/competing with shared servers who will most likely lose out?
I noticed that Singaporean VPN servers tend to be the BUSIEST in the world all day. It's not just the Singkies are using them to take advantage of better routing to continents such as EU and US. The Thais and Viets also might be at it due to their close distance of being in the same region.
So where do Malaysian internet users stand? Our internet plans are way more expensive and we lose out to our neighbors when competing with bandwidth. What is worst, our ISP tells us if your local speed is good our role is done.
How? Actually does Singapore ISP has limited quota or Fair Usage Policy ? I think i used mine Unifi like 1~2 TB per month on usage

QUOTE(stella_purple @ Mar 8 2021, 04:16 PM) So after you upgraded, you means your package no more show unifi tv in unifi portal? Did you try login the apps or stb box see whether it can still watch some basic channel like rtm 1 or 8tv? Yea, the remove it already. I dun have the xxxx@iptv anymore Previously my package doesnt include the STB as it's the new gen package without the STB but still include HyppTV lite @ RM129 for 100mbps
