I am no longer in need of tv pack since disney pull out of unifi tv completely and will lose some rights to F1 live broadcast. Can I terminate Ruby plus pack without terminate unifi Internet completely?

Currently paying 159+tax for 300mbps+ruby plus pack and contract will end next month.

Other similar questions: anyone managed to remove unifi tv entirely without accepting mesh OR termination whole unifi service?

Maybe only after transfer request was made in order to move to other fiber isp, then tm can only offer the Internet only Loyalty/retention package without mesh or tv or whatever as last resort to attempt recovery from losing customer

So after the contract ends, if i attempt to apply for example Max** fiber and obtain transfer request to tm side, tm side will offer such special package, otherwise will only offer the Loyalty package with mesh or ultimate box

Call 100 and chances are you can get the loyalty package with mesh, 159:300m+m4/hc4, 199:500m+m9 and so on, also need renew contract

But renew contract just to change router ? Not worth because they always give crap models anyway.

You may try, but I doubt will successful because TM agent will always say TV is part of service cannot remove blah blah blah. Unless you are out of contract already which you can try port out to force TM to give that package (will not always success as well).

For my family still on 159 with ruby plus pack forced, even m4 I bought myself to replace crap router because otherwise will DC on 2.4ghz upstairs.

I wish to get better mesh to make sure can full speed on upstairs. Currently upstairs is about half of speed because wireless backhaul.

I doubt can get loyalty package if Currently already same price and same speed though, just that bundle is different.

Usually with decent router, can achieve about 500mbps with AC router within close distance (given that the phone has 2x2 antenna and support AC 5ghz.

Your iPhone (is your screenshot from older iPhone? Because aspect ratio and status bar seems like you are using it) should achieve higher speed with decent router, even better if you use at least iPhone 11 series that support AX wifi 6 , then you can get better speed with AX wifi 6 router.

I don't think subscriber whose started between 2016-2018 pre-turbo(when unifi still offered 30/50/100m with forced bundled tv pack) can terminate the tv pack easily.

Live chat will never help in this matter as they are not well trained about the new contents change faq.

Update: failed to cancel unifi tv due to excuse being bundle package (that technically started on 2016 due to being offered by tm sales rep)

When i ask about the faq, the agent said is for add on only (e.g 30m or 100m user with ultimate add on can cancel the tv add on after 12months contract for tv add on.) Cannot do anything if is bundle in the whole subscription

Seems like you hits the limitations of 2.4ghz wifi. Your device should be modern enough to support 5ghz Ac , if not, please upgrade your device or get AC wireless adapter

Yes only if your package is just 300mbps, only has few wifi5 devices (no need for wifi6),and double story

Enable ipv6 from router web ui or app
Use pppoe with enable same username/password. Then enable prefix delegation

For best compatibility, use SLAAC + stateless settings

Ps: this is for tplink routers, other brands may have different options, but for the ipv6 wan mode, must use PPPoE. Do not use Auto settings because may cause possible compatibility issues

The reason why I suggest use SLAAC+stateless is because Android devices (incl chromebook) not compatible with DHCPv6

100mbps comes with two flavours, normal pack and ultimate addon pack

129: you get normal pack with playtv app for basic unifi tv package(varnam/aneka/ruby are considered basic pack)
Note: no new tv STB/box to be given, you can watch on playtv app only on phone, since you still have white box, you can retain it for watching on tv as well
189: this only you get the ultimate tv addon with new plus tv box (to watch on tv) and extra OTT benefits along with extra premium channels stay unlocked effectively December 2021

Switch to maxis/celcom/digi fiber better

If you still want stay in unifi for at least 2 years

Recontract and get 100mbps rm129 since it is highest you can get without ultimate pack

But for existing user with tv box, you still get basic tv pack from old box and app.

Note that 100mbps also has private ip after unifi new policy, not much difference from other isp on unifi infra anyway

Later on you may or may not have chance to upgrade to special pack 300mbps without tv pack, (with deco mesh), by calling 100 after some times, depending on luck maybe

300mbps pricing for free trial campaign (for selected subscribers) is not much difference from existing pack or "loyalty" promo (only from 100 CS sales team again for selected subscribers)

159 gets you mesh wifi (m4/hc4 most likely) and internet only bundle, 199 is the same as the existing package on website for new customers but for some reasons existing user opt for 199 pack has to add on rm10 for either Mesh or Unifi plus box stb ( meanwhile plus box stb is offered for new customers sign up for 199 package)
So 209 for 300 with ultimate pack ( freee trial promo) if with mesh or plusbox addon

Lol they should at least give away that box for free for existing customers upgrading to 199

Edit: ok i see at the wrong angle. Rm10 add on for mesh/upb is only for upgrade to 100mbps
300mbps upgrade can get Ultimate pack WITH either mesh OR upb for free but not both it seems (at the same 199 price) maybe not everyone want or like upb because i see some forumers here complain about lower PQ on upb live tv
