QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 22 2021, 07:59 PM) Config will depend on your router/switch. QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Apr 23 2021, 07:57 PM) Just make sure they don't install it like this lol lol this one really no brainer. Looks like fiber wall socket has become a hot issue here. I am thinking to get my own FWS, but again reading all the comments, without the proper installation what more with the school leaver workers then I think it will not work as the reading will more likely to be high.

TM contractor just installed their pole yesterday and today they will come to install my 300mbps package.
Just want to ask, what I need to ask the technician installer after he done the installation? Like checking the noise and such, what it is called?

QUOTE(gnome @ May 4 2021, 05:51 PM) Hi guys, today my jiran pasang unifi fibre but when i asked last week tm customer service said my house doesnt have coverage! I asked tm twitter about it and dia kata my house was not under their system even though im currently under unifi lite migration plan. seriously confusing betul. Not only that they said got 4 port jer for my jalan So atm tm open case on my problem while they try to resolve sigh. Also mmg kena pakai agent ke or what? so far i just register under unifi app jer Try to use agent, so far I am using agent all the way from no unifi coverage till got unifi coverage. This is including they laid the cable along the road, install additional concrete poles. I reported to them that most occupants in my area is a teacher, so they needed internet to conduct pdpr. Surprisingly they did take action on that lol.

Their IPv6 really sucked up. I always need to reload when browsing and watching netflix because unifi are unable to access netflix using ipv6. This has no problem with time fiber, I used time fiber in KL now I am at kampung using unifi. Idk if their ipv6 routing really fked-up or not

QUOTE(newlich @ May 17 2021, 07:11 PM) I have two Unifi plans for two properties: House A <--- 300mbps House B <--- 100mbps Can I just swap the Unifi plan by swapping the PPoE user id? I think you can, though I am not sure if the id is bind with the btu mac address or not but I think you can, need to ask other.

QUOTE(newlich @ May 18 2021, 03:57 PM) Well, it doesn't work. What happen is: House A <--- 100mbps (normal) House B <--- 85mbps (capped, instead of 300mbps) Is there any configuration changes needed to be done for my modem/router? What you mean capped? You already swapped the id? Try swapping BTU instead.

QUOTE(go626201 @ Jun 12 2021, 01:06 PM) I thought PPPoE or something eles got overhead penalty causing 1gbps can only get about 950mbps? Edit: Oh 1gbps is possible to hit about 95% but need additional bandwidth margin set by TM similar to current plan, can get more about 5-10% of speed. but 100% 1000mbps i dont think can max speed... if 1gbps plan provide 500mbps upload ,then that might be more attractiveness. I think you can, just need more processing power to handle the packets. I have seen people achieving 1gbps before but it was on TIME fiber plan

Anyone have problem with unifi ipv6? This ipv6 problem has been running for a long time. I wonder what they did on the routing though. Almost every oversea site I will get timed out. I also dont know why browser does not fallback to resolve using ipv4. Anyone have any insight?
