Just putting this out here.
I was trying to make a report on slow connectivity outside MY as per below.

So agent tries reset port thingy, still the same problem. Then, to proceed with making a report, agent gave the option below with a chargeable service when technician come for a visit.

The last time I made a report was like 2 years ago. At the time, I was not charge anything. It felt kinda off when I am charged for something while still in contract.

If I want to terminate my 800Mbps, I think they may not counter offer because my current package is a little bit cheaper than this offer one.

Thanks for all the information about promotion provided.
I'm a new user who just signed up in August last year, probably. I didn't receive any emails from unifi but I decided to try. So I called 100 just now to enquire about these promotions. And they offered me to upgrade my existing 300Mbps to 500Mbps = RM199 with additional RM40 (Unifi tv ultimate pack) or 800Mbps = RM239 with additional RM40 (for Unifi TV Ultimate pack) and will extend another 2 years contract.

Existing 500Mbps = RM248
Existing 800Mbps = RM349

Just want to ask, whether too much for a normal household to subscribe 800Mbps, since this upgrade package is attractive?

Is there any tricks to enquiry them about the RM 159 promotion?

Normal issue,after turbo plan,tm unifi bandwidth couldn't cope with so much international bandwidth outside Southern Asia.
Singapore is okay. (Night not always okay,but 97% of time is acceptable)
Don't keep hope on TM for totally fix this problem within years.
Get a vpn and find a better and stable vpn server to access worldwide network is the better choice for now.

100mbps, 300mbps all depends on your typical usage.

If 10 of you just watching 1080p youtube, then 100mbps is more than enough.

As for 4k Netflix, one stream can consume up to 25mbps...

so it depends.

Like mine, 100mbps is more than enough. I downgrade from 800mbps to 100mbps. Paying too much for nothing.

And I set in my Mikrotik router to make sure nobody can consume more than 2/3 of available bandwidth. No bandwidth hoggers sweat.gif whistling.gif

just called. From current 300mbps upgrade to 500mbps gives you M4 only. M9 only for those who upgrade from 100mbps to 500/800mbps or 300mbps to 800mbps.

Decided to proceed with the upgrade since the price is the same with my current 300mbps. 2 years contract, removed hyptv.

Nowadays need to be careful. If technician came to your house, there will be a service charge.

Any special deals for 100Mbps? I just upgraded to this 100 Mbps package with unifi plus box(UPB) on Nov for RM 139. Internet+STB20+Hypptv Varnam+package. Their Hypptv picture quality very bad on UPB. When I asked them on last month to remove the TV package, they told me any package with UPB can't be removed. It either have to upgrade/downgrade with UPB 😑

E.g. You're using 3rd party router and have issues, changed back to TM provided router and issue gone, this consider as your fault and will be charged.

I no issue with surfing internet, watching netflix, etc ...
But facing slow download from website like google drive, mega, ...
Once use vpn speed went back normal, not sure what wrong at all doh.gif

most popular site or services got cdn server in asia so no issue for those service, including google drive.
If google drive also slow, maybe u need to check your network.

But for foreign sites or service totally crap routing for past few days...
TM really fuck up on their network...

Call again 100. Some customer service agent does not know their job well. Keep calling again and they will ask their support team to upgrade it from their side 😊. Let me know once you are done with this
