which ISP do u recommend?

thanks
*
If you ask me I'll recommend Celcom simply because this is what I use and im very satisfied with its network and support quality as well no bullshit deception game in its contract terms. Maxis network is not bad too. But I never use it more than few days so I can't recommend on this one.

The main thing is, don't look solely at price. You have to study the routes used by each isp and find the one that suit your usage pattern most. I ended with celcom after full moth of trial on all of the available options and happy with my research outcome.

Hi all, I'm still using Streamyx (last time my area has no UNIFI port). I checked with TM via the whatsapp and they informed me that there is a coverage for UNIFI at my area now. Do anyone know how I can get the StaywithUnifi RM129@300mbps? Should I go to the TMpoint or apply it via online? Appreciate your kind advise, thanks.

It is impossible to get staywithunifi plan when you upgrade from streamyx
I would suggest getting Maxis instead, 6 months free if you are coming from TM

Was on the unifi 300mb for rm129 and it was up for RM179
was on webe that got ported to unifi for rm79

I'm wondering if there are better prices or options in Kk For that same amount of monthly, for home use I don't mind slower as long as it's stabile and not capped
Mobile use roughly 200GB A month
Unifi at home with streaming and random downloads not capped would be better since it's shared with the family

I think paying almost 500 a month just for communicating and data a bit excessive now and the coverage here in Kk is patchy worse my own place doesn't have a good 4G

Any inputs especially from KK is appreciated

log in to your router to check IP address or WAN IP isit match with the current IP

mostly Private IP is 100.xx.xx.xx

currently public IP given by TM has been reduced and no longer same like the past that you can keep change different ip range addresss.

this happen since mid-January, somehow there are some area not affected by this.
*
The WAN IP showed in my router is the same as current IP.

Thanks for the clarification.

The name itself Stay With Unifi means it is for someone who intend to move to other ISP, not applicable to Straemyx.

You mean from RM129 now becomes RM179? Then look at Celcom or Maxis for their competitive 300mbps plan.

Very common for new contract not to come with equipment, especially if you are getting special and better pricing. The contract is to lock you in as 'payment' for the cheaper package deal.

That being said, what for you want new equipment? I'd be happier with cheaper price than new equipment, as long as my old one is working fine.

mine they give new modem, but im guessing its super cheap one, dunno what nokia black modem laugh.gif

How to check contract remaining period? Few years back I recalled we can easily check through app. Now they have over-simplified the app for only showing basic info on account detail sighh!!

Not interested in upgrading my speed... just to reduce bills. Currently on 100mbps RM128. Plan to get RM99 for da same speed....if lucky enough laaa...
*
That is based on my own record.

I think the best is to call the TM to check the actual contract date. biggrin.gif

hi....
may i have the link for the promo?

btw, what the promo mean by new new customer?
as per my situation, currently using maxis fiber 30mbps under my brother in law name for few year d....
currently will like to get a new plan 300mbps under my name in maxis/unifi n terminate his account....

due to unifi 300mbps need to bundle with unifi tv, i find maxis fiber under "new new customer" more tempting....

PM-ed, this is agent limited plan so no link avaliable
I can recommend an agent who helped me to sign up lah...

But do be aware if you terminate Maxis/TM any ISP
That particular port will be locked for a month, better check if there's a spare port avaliable before you do anything.
When I terminate my unifi, old port was locked and the installer had to joint my fibre longer to the next dp with free ports.
Else there will be a month of cool down before you can install anything.

New registration, just cancel his and register using your name

Guys,

I recently applied to port out from Unifi to Digi due to better package on Digi network.

Anyway, long story short, TM received the port out request and immediately contacted me to counter offer me a better package deal and i took it.

Real question here is, since there will be new binding contract of two more years, should i be getting new equipments? By right i should am i right? If not, why two years contract?

apply digi straight away from website or how?

Yeah, played for awhile just now. Still lagging. I am on Kujata. Are you also a FFXIV player on the JP server? Guess you must also be experiencing the same thing.

But Maxis is using TM infrastructure right?

I didn't play FFXIV,just added the FFXIV smokeping monitoring after you asking about this issue.
There are some networking routing issue between Unifi and FFXIV server network.

Modem they will change once in a while. It is belonging to them anyway (you have to return it when cancel), not to you. And this is one of the things which they won't charge you to change.
