Just got my 300Mbps -SWU package done. My unifi profile still haven't update.
Technician bring over a Fiberhome SR1041Y router.
Anyone has any idea how to set it as AP? Can't really find those usual static IP setting.

If I reverse DNS the IP given to me on Steamyx and it translates to BR01.tm.net.my (not recall exact wording), where BR I've read on a rather old thread/forum somewhere it means Brickfields in KL. So this means my route goes thru KL instead of say Johor which is more efficient?

Well, my colleague also got that offers with the price remaining at RM129 b4 SST.
This is the current retention plan for those 100mbps contract ended users.

My contract already expired but they never offer me this upgrade.hmmm

currently all these reverse DNS IP has been not updated by TM since long time ago.

nothing to worry about the route, all have to go by local before going to central

May i know how do we know that we are getting private IP or public IP from Unifi ? I'm on 300mbps
Is there a IP range specifically for Private IP ?
I wonder why i always getting this IP Range 42.189.xxx.xxx no matter how many times i restart my BTU.

I knew that Unifi is practicing package lower than 300mbps will get private IP.

log in to your router to check IP address or WAN IP isit match with the current IP

mostly Private IP is 100.xx.xx.xx

currently public IP given by TM has been reduced and no longer same like the past that you can keep change different ip range addresss.

this happen since mid-January, somehow there are some area not affected by this.

How many days has elapsed since your last expiry? I didn't checked mine but did received call from them days ago offering their retention package of 300mbps @ RM129.

I bet they'll ring you soon...just in waiting list coz I'm sure right now their operators are staring wildly on da screen looking for customers flagged with "contract expired" 😅

For those who cannot use hypptv on android TV or UPB, starting yesterday cannot connect come out unexpected error. I have found out this is problem on TM side.

So you just need to disable ipv6 for the tike being and can solve the problem temporarily. I have notified TM on this problem hope they fix ASAP

EDIT: Now even ipv4 doesn't work

Sorry, I did mention that my colleague got the offers and not me.
For what I know is that, she got the offers by TM calling in her home number.

I'm currently on 300mbps @ RM159 b4 SST with free mesh. If I knew TM would give such offers, I might not take the FREE MESH offers. Anyway, my contract was still more than a year to go at that time.

Would anyone on unifi be so kind as to help ping 124.150.157.158?

It's a FFXIV server in JP and I have been experiencing packet loss for the past 2 weeks.

Tried re-booting everything and even contacted Unifi help desk to reset my port.. still same issue. Wondering if it's just me.

Guys,

I recently applied to port out from Unifi to Digi due to better package on Digi network.

Anyway, long story short, TM received the port out request and immediately contacted me to counter offer me a better package deal and i took it.

Real question here is, since there will be new binding contract of two more years, should i be getting new equipments? By right i should am i right? If not, why two years contract?

Very common for new contract not to come with equipment, especially if you are getting special and better pricing. The contract is to lock you in as 'payment' for the cheaper package deal.

That being said, what for you want new equipment? I'd be happier with cheaper price than new equipment, as long as my old one is working fine.
