Anyone having problems with connectivity to the US ? I am having significantly poor download and upload speed. Tried running speedtest and all I am getting is a capped 1 Mbps download and upload.

smw5 cable got issue all connection to eu is slowdown. try get 175.xx or 60.xx ip alternative to get higher speed then the rest ip.

I was connected to 1.32 ip for about 10 hours but the internet died just before 1am for me

Kept on getting timeout pado packets in the log, and didn’t reconnect by itself until I did a reset

Could this be the same issue ?

are you currently using a 30Mbps VDSL plan?

I assume you are a high-rise resident where the building only has copper. If you want to upgrade from a 30mbps VDSL plan to a 100mbps plan, it is a bit complicated. First, the application must be through tmpoint or any agent, as your 30mbps vdsl plan needs to be terminated first before opening a fiber optic port to your home, as it uses two different technologies. Second, make sure your building already has fiber optic technology. If the building you live in still does not have fiber optics, please ask the building management for them to install the optical fiber entire building. The installation of fiber optic cables for entire building is not under TM but under the building management.

If the building you stay dont have fiber optics?
The last option is to ask TM, if the building you live in supports speeds of up to 50Mbps? For your information, the 50Mbps plan is no longer offered publicly. The 50mbps plan is now only offered privately for high-rise residents who only have copper technology. (Depending on the quality of the copper)

Currently im using Streamyx 8Mbps at landed house which always give me unstable connection(always disconnect and reconnect). Called TM technician to check, he claimed that outside wiring no issue, he suspect inside wire got problem or 8Mbps cannot be used by multiple devices.

I'm just done pre-registration UNIFI 30Mbps plan with TM agent saying is BBF project.

I got few concerns,
If the installation is use back existing telephone line(change to VDSL?), i worry line not stable happen. Then no point for me to upgrade and tied to new contract again with higher monthly fees.
Actually I expect UNIFI 30Mbps come with Fiber, which is pull new cable to the house.
But saw the post saying Unifi 30Mbps - VDSL / FIBER can be VSDL or FIBER??

My areas 4G connection very weak. Complaint few times, telco won't take any action to upgrade, otherwise i rather use 4G instead of streamyx.

Landed house will 100% use fibre optic instead of copper, 30Mbps VDSL for high-rise only.
while for high-rise depends on the type of technology provided in the building, some are copper or fiber, or both.
mostly old high-rises such as PPR will use VDSL, while some new high-rises like condo or apartment will use fiber
that's why I wrote VDSL / FIBER, because this plan is suitable for use on both methods

Like my home, old high rise, all copper, have been use many year 30mbps,
Last year got SMS say TM will call me offer 50mbps, but TM call me while charging phone and misses that call
Until now no more such SMS is offer
Yes it use back same cable on my streamyx line, no change cable

Actually your situation abit same scenario like me.....
But i confirm will use fiber if available. You already in pre-registration mean they got planning to lay fiber.

My case is,
- Using VDSL 8mbps (Max), but always get 1-4mbps max. 8mbps only sometime. Disconnection issue every 2-3 week.
- Fiber lay Oct 2020. Receive call to register on mid of Nov.
- I confirm with that guy, confirm is fiber. Then i request 100mbps, my neighbor register 30mbps.
- Early Jan TM come over to confirm location Fiber box. There some ting tong between Nov-Jan.
- End of Jan come to install with fiber intro house. (Total complaint 6 times)
- 27 Jan successful install and can use.

Confirm thing
- Old VDSL cable no more use and connect.
- TM will lay new fiber to your house. If Fiber available.
- My neighbor using 30mbps also with Fiber, same as me. onsite see what they doing since that time i work from home.

Subang, FTTH no problem whole day and night.

Subang. This is supposed to be the "best" area already.

And you wouldn't know but there is a big slow down today.

I play a lot of fast speed games where the lag and unstable connection is very noticeable today. Yesterday also. The game server itself is showing me how unstable is my connection. The Ping is alternating intermittently from "a bit ok" to "bad".....all the time.

And disconnections are common. Yesterday also. Disconnect halfway in my game and made me lose the game.

FTTH?

Well for me I WFH whole months and there is no any issue, Zoom meeting, Teams meeting, accessing to other country server, remoting every country computer using anydesk / teamviewer / ultraviewer / ultraVNC, RDP, no problem, no disconnection.

I'm on 500mbps, and FTTH. I'm not into online gaming so I'm not sure about this. I can conclude that my work is not affected, no any slowdown etc.

where your game server locate? local or EU/US/Asia?

try ping and traceroute the game server ip if possible to know what the caused.

Successfully downgraded from 300Mbps (in contract) ~RM115 to 30Mbps RM89. Thought cannot downgrade within contract. Internet rarely used.

IINM if downgrade within contract will incur penalty

Where did you downgrade it and the person who attended you did not mention about penalty?
