unifi offer RM 129 x 6 months free is cheaper than RM 99@100 mbps right?
RM 129 x 18 months = RM 2322 for 24 months use
vs
RM 99 x 24 = RM 2376 for 24 months use
or I missed something here?
*
Maxis offered 6 months free, not Unifi.
It's just a tiny bit extra for direct support on Unifi infra.

you can try live chat with unifi ask them to ask their telemarketer to call you - but you might need to wait for 1-2 weeks, you can try your luck. for my case telemarketer call me, i initially rejected then ask unifi 100 / live chat to tell them to call me back, waited > 1 week then they call me. I got RM99 offer, internet only, already out of contract previously and was from 30 Mbps copper line, upgrade to fibre line + 100 mbps for that price. hope that helps

btw my colleague had very bad experience with maxis support because they are using unifi backbone, so unifi only can solve issues most of the time..and they will prioritize unifi customers 1st before maxis obviously..so you can imagine how much slower/longer maxis customers have to wait smile.gif

My 300mbps trial supposed to end on 14th. The trial speed is still here, wonder if they extend it to few days more. I am still have another few months until my contract ended. Tried my luck to get swu, the CS responded that SWU campaign already ended. The cheapest promotion that they can offer me is RM179.

My own experience, fiber broke on the day of installation
They fixed it 2hrs after I called them
During installation, the Unifi's technician told me if anything happened on the ONU side (LOS, ONU fried etc) call him first
He can fix it foc and faster than contacting Maxis and transferring to Unifi

Not sure how it works for other Maxis users

All Unifi assigned IPV6 is public IP, you can say it is WAN IP, but not LAN IP. number of IPV6 addresses is very huge, more than the number of sand particles on earth, TM can virtually assign million IPv6 addresses per person.

What unifi assigned is /64 prefix, it means the first 64 bits of IPv6 portion is assigned by TM, the second part 64 bits is assigned by your router (DHCPv6) or SLAAC. you can control of the second part (host addresses), but the first part, it is dynamically assigned by TM. I wonder can we request to have fix IPv6 prefix from TM?
*
When only in local network, device still using 128bits or only 64bits to connect to other device?

Should really start using IPv6 to familiarize myself with it. sweat.gif

Experience aside, some of TM ppl will really use this line to scare users from porting to other provider. But come to think of it, if those other provider have very huge user base, they have also to have a better agreement in terms of infra maintenance with TM. It is because users of other provider are too small that their voice do not make any difference.

If you register for Maxis on TM infra, they'll come in 2 groups
1st, Unifi technician to install the ONU
After it is done, Maxis technician come to install router

In my case, Unifi technician gave me his personal number after installing ONU (a sticker on my onu)
Told me if anything happen on their side (before router), call him first
You cant call TM directly as they wont entertain you, since you are not their direct customer
Who knows I got to call him just hours after the installation as he didn't fuse the fibers together correctly shocking.gif

If you look at the StayWithUnifi 300mbps RM129 plan, Voice STD20 is no longer included.
So you can't ask them to keep those 600 minutes. It all depends on the HQ (if they want to include it or not)
*
1st time see 50mbps, is it worth it? 20mbps for extra RM10.

Regardless anything happens before router, maxis is your isp, they will be responsible for anything, hence its their duty to engage with Tm to solve any issue

Not entirely sure to Unifi. Maxis service no longer tip top like last time nowadays. You need to be lucky to use Maxis service.

For areas that already have infra fiber, TM will not offer a 50mbps plan.

50mbps will only be offered for Highrise, and the copper quality at the highrise is still in good condition, but you can try request

Yes, and I did called the maxpert guy who installed my router, he also refer me back to the unifi technician.
I don't care who I need to contact, as long as they're capable of fixing it quickly. Cause my house's cell signal is weak, I can't make or receive phone calls without vowifi.

Still, I'm 2 weeks in. So far so good.

IPv6 is 128bit addressing, no such thing as 64 bits IPv6.

Private network IPv6 is fd00::/8, link local address is fe:80::/10, these two network are considered as LAN IPv6

Guys,I wanted to ask that one day I came back home and saw my BTU unit only lighting up the LAN1 light. And the distribution box at the outside of my house looks more messy than I remembered. So I check my CCTV and saw that during the noon when no one was at home.A van came and fiddle with the distribution box outside and I didn't get any internet now.

Then I ask that the jiran beside, they say got internet.Called 100 and they tell me to wait.Been 2 days still no update. What should I do?
