Hi, I am planning to subscribe 800mbps unifi business plan for my shop. It’s an old shop lot hence the shop lot has no built in infrastructure for unifi cabling. However, I have done the plaster ceiling for my shop, if I would like to request the contractor to pull the cabling above the ceiling, may I know roughly what are the extra charges? I did read the unifi website guide but it’s not clearly stated over there as I know it’s case by case basis. I do have 3 manholes ready throughout the distance of around 50 feet from outside of my shop into my office, and I have a row of led light (with gap of <1 meter apart to each other) that can be remove so the technician is able to put their hand through the hole for pulling the wire. I just like to have a rough idea before the installation, just in case I won’t kena chop by the contractor 🤣 thank you in advance for any kind of advice, peace!

depend. i apply during month of fasting, technician came next day but unfortunately they said need to install new pole first next to my house

fast forward 2 month, 8th June 2021, TM contractor came and installed the poles in front of my house. Next day, TM installation came to setup the UNIFI

so, I believe during FMCO, if there is not problem like mine, they may come within a few days. They will send first the SMS to inform the appointment date and time ahead to you.

I called in to upgrade on 6th June, 10th June tech came to my place to change the BTU, same time i ask them relocate for me (had to pay him some charges), then 11th i received sms about mesh.

But since then nothing. No email, sms.

Today i went to TMpoint to pick up a unifi prepaid sim, same time asked them about the status. They gave tracking number but its not trackable in jnt website. They said order was created on 11th June. So should be able to track in JnT by now.

So idk when ill get my mesh now lol doh.gif

Also trauma from past experiences with JnT shakehead.gif

Anything that are still using copper (old high rise that management does not want to upgrade) would still be limited to 30Mbps, so yeah, that's why you have that package still. Instead of faster intro package, make the 30Mbps cheaper.

My current house is within unifi coverage. However i may plan to move to new house (dun have unifi coverage) within 6 months.
Is it a good choice to install unifi on my current house? I understand there will be 2 years contract once i subscribed but since my new house is not in unifi coverage may i able to cancel it without contract or i am only allow to change to streamyx?
Currently is using mobile data is makes me frustrated as it is not stable!

I believe you’ll be forced to any available unifi products that is covered at your new place. If I’m not mistaken, you’ll only be allowed to terminate without any penalty if there is no TM coverage at your new place.
