Called in and upgraded my plan from:
unifi 100Mbps - Super Value YEP 2019 + Phone + unifiTV1Pack for RM129
to
500Mbps + Phone, no TV for RM199 (+ Deco M9Plus).

Never even used the TV since day 1 and rarely use house phone.

My contract supposed to end in Oct 2021, now renewed 2 years.

Was looking at other options for at least 300Mbps to uepgrade, like Digi/Celcom for chaper prices but had to wait till contract end.

First he offered me 300Mbps + Phone for RM159, but no free router. Then i asked for higher speed.

If can afford, I think no brainer la to take RM199, the routers price itself RM850ish and thats like RM35 a month over 24months, and thats basically the difference from the 300Mbps to 500Mbps package.

Hey guys currently I upgraded my package on Nov 2020 for the 100Mbps+Varnam Package with Unifi plus box+Phone for RM 139. By any chance I can get lower price for 100 Mbps? I see TM offering good deals for 300 and 500 Mbps package sometimes for 800Mbps package too. I just wanna lower the price. I don't watch the UnifiTV since I have astro at home. I called the promotion department and they said I can only downgrade/upgrade the package with UPB. I took the UPB since their previous White STB lagging whenever watching the UnifiTV. Old hardware is one of the reason.

You cannot change any plan without UPB. Since you have just renewed your Unifi TV contract in November 2020. You can only upgrade/downgrade any plan with Unifi TV only. And as always, the contract will be renewed to 24 months if you change any plans.

The best way is, you keep your current plan until the end of the 24-month contract (including the Unifi TV contract). After the expiration of your contract in November 2022, you are allowed to choose any Unifi plan without a Unifi TV plan

Wait they told me unifiTV contract is 12 months. Also the UPB is consider free for me since I claimed rebated from TM due to their UnifiTV low picture quality. RM 254.40 considering RM10.60 Inc sst x 24 months. So I can say I only pay for RM 129 exc sst. If can get anything lower than RM 129 for 100 Mbps it would be fine.

You're lucky to get 800 turbo at RM189, mine is RM240. Quite painful to pay every month

I’ve tried reinstalling YouTube, change phone, change router, change dns, turn on and off ipv6 but nothing seems to work in getting my YouTube comments profile pictures to work properly

I just reconfigured my setup to use google ipv4 dns without ipv6

I just did a dns leak test and it showed 5 addresses in Singapore for the google dns servers

Is this normal and a correct setup ?

I used the normal 8.8.8.8 in the router dns setup area

Yesterday I went to my grandmothers house to check on her, she uses maxis fibre and my god everything was loading so fast. Faster that I could scroll hahah and she’s using the default maxis combo router and I’m using a 2K router

Owh you just changed the STB from the legacy version to the UPB version. If so, you only have a Unifi TV contract for 12 months only until November 2021.

For your information, you get a special price compared to the original price. You only need to pay the UPB price of RM10 per month for 12(or 24) months only (original price RM20 per month for 24 months). In the following month there will be no more UPB charges of RM10, and the price of your internet plan will return to only RM129.

For the 100mbps plan, the lowest price that TM can offer you is RM129 (Without STB), but still have the UnifiPlayTV plan (Aneka/Varnam/Ruby)
