I changed to 100Mbps plan on end of 2019 (YEP 2019) - RM129 from 50Mbps (at that time RM179), that time they just provide a new router (DIR-842), that time they said change modem need do another request. Today I had changed new router TP-link AX73, and just now try my luck to ask for change it, but still no luck. (I used live chat to try, call 100 will helps?)

I had asked few times already to request that, but they said, is already satisfied/enough to reach the speed... Then if there is no any free speed upgrades in the future, that means I would stick with the speed (less than 94Mbps) forever?

If the HG850a power adaptor stops working, you can report it and chances are that TM will change it to a new gigabit modem. Just make sure you have a spare 12V 1A DC adaptor that you can use while waiting for the techs to come.

Power adaptors tend to die quite often from natural causes like lightning or being mishandled by humans  .

Guys want to know is it normal on the 2.4ghz wifi the whole house wifi signal is 4-5 bars. But for 5ghz only the floor where the router is can get 4-5 bars and other floors only can get 1-2 bars??

The netis one crap shit from TM. Previously when my house was under VDSL they provided me this orange shit and during the first MCO last March the WiFi stop working 😑. Just get a router during the upcoming 4.4 sale. The WhatsApp video call lagging right till now I have no idea is it really the phone or network issue. After change to my own router, my mom's phone still have this issue. As I mentioned since it only affected to 2 person whom she always makes call, one of them using the 100Mbps with the stock TP link AC1200 router and another one is VDSL with the orange netis(They are staying in condo at KL but no fibre yet 🙃). Since you have only mentioned its 30Mbps you can get the Dlink which I got for myself. This router is too good for the price. Follow the Dlink Shopee store and during the 4.4 sale between 12am-2am, the price will drop to RM 140. Then they will provide you RM 5 voucher. Claim and apply it before checking out. Thanks for your reply. And yes, 30Mbps is fibre and I plan to upgrade them to 100Mbps but I think they are unlikely can utilise 100Mbps. That's the result I still remain as 30Mbps. Just the crappy router has to change. I already added into cart and need to pay midnight tonight. Btw, how about setting? is it vlan profile provided? My Asus Rt-56U was quite easily for setting and I'm unfamiliar with dlink UI and setting actually.

Good tip, my HG850a power adapter is actually almost reach to the end of life due to it sometimes suddenly shut down when move the modem and turn it back normal when replug the modem.

I also had explain this issue to the live chat just now, but he seems treat me like a fool telling me that no any issue from their side. I just want change to a new modem provided by TM, is that so hard?

M9 Plus provided by TM is enough, unless you want to use latest technology WIFI6, I suggest you to take Deco X20

Did you upgrade using the Unifi 800Mbps Loyalty plan (RM199) ? If so, they only gave u the M4.
I suggest you take the M9 Plus.

TPLINK router no more firmware upgrade for me, mine was C5 AC1200.

Recently i changed mine to ASUS GT-AX1100, got good deal on Shopee. With ASUS i can get up to max speed (800mbps) on ground floor. But first floor still weak, around 100mbps the max. So for 1st floor i stick with my current TPLINK AV1300 Powerline where speed is around 250mbps.

Both also is router yes? Im looking to go for wiremesh as i dont want to keep on changing wifi as i go up and down the stairs like what i am currently doing now
