QUOTE(YummyFriedOnions @ Mar 20 2021, 09:09 PM) Has been happening for a while. Called and complained but not sure if there's any action taken. Seems slightly better than a few weeks ago for me. On another note, anyone has any idea what we can request for if we upgrade our package? My place just upgraded to FTTH and I'm thinking of taking the 300Mbps package. Any perpetual discounts that we might be able to get? I got that when I transferred from my old place, then realised that this place only had VSDL, so I downgraded to 30Mbps. Now there is fibre, so will be upgrading again. last week still ok.. as the route from TM > SG or HK > US west ... since yesterday the route changed TM > EU > US west the ping latency also been increased AFIK, there is no more perpetual discount anymore. current offer is selected customer get TP LINK MESH + 300Mbps for rm159, you can view back previous few pages for more info.

QUOTE(oec88 @ Mar 21 2021, 12:20 PM) Routing to AWS looks good as of now - 12:20PM. I am on 218.208.xx.xx IP range. that because EU cable has been fixed. otherwise the ping would still hang around 300ms or above like previous few week. the ping still sustainable average 250ms to 260ms for Amazon US East. Seems that the problem of spike ping come back again during night which TM claims that its already fixed QUOTE The estimate time to resolved (ETTR) is 19th March 2021. *From the ping plotter results, the results are within acceptable range. Benchmark high latency issues and slow browsing of certain IPs or websites for US is <270ms.* routing problem again?

From what i thought, when submarine cable down, all connection is route to the existing routing that is working and causing that line overloaded,so even submarine cable fix,tm still route all of connection to the same line. QUOTE(PJng @ Mar 22 2021, 11:08 PM) Fibre line also can split use? Installer no checking before unplug? It split at the FDP. Each FDP have only 8 port, so to make extra port TM installer will have to use 1X2 splitter (u can google to see how does the splitter look like) to increase 8>16 port by sharing with other user. Usually the installer will finish it job and go off, whether the other user can connect or not they dont care. The affect user need to make complaint if disconnect.

QUOTE(kopitiam @ Mar 22 2021, 10:50 PM) anyone managed to get full 800mbps from unifi? both of my 800mbps line only can get max 3xx mbps only using cat 6 Sounds like you are using infamous trashcan router (aka DIR-850L), it ran into same limit while I was testing WAN to LAN side on it before (but it was in AP mode, I haven't test on actual Unifi yet) Mostly consistent here otherwise, also not using stock router. Linksys EA8100.
