Guys, I haven't setup router with modem for a while (last one was streamyx a few years)
How to properly configure with other router that's not supplied by tm? I wanna use my ws880 (running on xwrt merlin) I connect the lan cable from the modem to wan port, but still no connection? Never mind it’s just pppoe settings, but the Router still doesn’t connect with the same login details This post has been edited by alucard89: Mar 18 2021, 07:31 PM |

Hey guys I am planning to change router. The stock TP link AC1200 router which I got on December 2020 auto reboot itself randomly. So far it has reboot 9 times within this 3 months. I have requested TM to upgrade to the latest firmware which is Nov 2020 from March 2020 firmware version on 17th of Feb and it was OK for 19 days till the 8th reboot happened on 8th of March. Then it reboot itself on today midnight. I just need the AC router for 1+ year usage hence why I wanna buy the cheaper one. Is Dlink durable? I am looking at DIR-2150 AC2100 model. Mine is Unifi 100Mbps plan. Appreciate your opinion on this.

It is very good value for what you can get. Although it is more expensive than the DIR-2150, I would say that it is money well spent. Will be getting next year since I am changing the device as well so yeah. |

If u have spare lying around from other devices, but with same voltage and connector jack, u can try 1st.https://www.dlink.com.my/product/ac2100-mes...gigabit-router/ ![]() ![]() John42 liked this post

Mine is Unifi 100Mbps plan. Appreciate your opinion on this. I had the AC1200 3 antenna model that keep rebooting on high load, fed up changed to Tenda AC18 which was excellent till the 2.4Ghz band went bust. Claimed warranty and sold it off because I had to get another router before i send it in for warranty.Got the TPLink AX20 prior to sending in AC18. That thing is good but lacked VPN client feature, slow to reboot and I wasn't pleased with the way it works. It has its quirks. Now its back inside its box. Replaced AX20 with Asus AC66UB1 in mesh config. Best experience so far. Has everything I need, fast boot up, and f/w and anti virus protection still being updated although this model is already very old. I dont need AX speed as my fiber is only 100mbps and i have mixture of devices ranging from Wifi G to 6E at home.
