Halo, wanna ask,

Today my new phone battery is here and i was going to replace my phone battery. Then when I wanna to take out my old battery from the phone, THE BATTERY SPARK!!! and a little smoke. Then the phone become extremely hot.
After that I manage to take out the old battery and now my phone is cooled down.

Can I still put in the new battery and use the phone? Is it safe? Is the spark caused by my phone or battery itself?

yes usually the phone survived. but the heat may have already damaged the board

strongly recommend you to spend a bit of money and ask the pros to do for you.

Really miss those days when phone batteries can still be replaced by just removing the phone outer body/panel and slotting it in easily.

Nowadays phone makers just seal the entire unit and you'll have to pry the screen, mobo, etc. apart just to replace the battery. Even more sad is consumers don't batt an eyelid when the latter happened and just continue buying the phone as if this isn't a concern. bye.gif
