Currently using Samsung Note 10+

Thinking to use iPhone (as main phone) in 2021.

A friend of mine bought an used iPhone from CompAsxx, it's very good quality and certified pre-owned with 1 month warranty.

So, currently have 3 choices in mind:

1) iPhone 11, 64GB (RM2899 new or RM2329 used)

2) iPhone X, 64GB (RM1379, used)

3) iPhone XR, 64GB (RM1429, used)

Looking at the price, it seems like used iPhone X or XR is a saving money choice. With around RM1k+ saving.

What is your suggestion?

Iphone x too old. With extended long term use might develop image persistence aka burn in

Iphone xr good value but xs used set just rm200 more than xr and the camera no better than ur current device note 10 lite

Iphone 11 good overall but top up a bit rm500 u can get 11pro which retail price 1.5k more than ip11 last year.

Btw, compasia is a good refurbished company. All refurbished iphone i bought from them last time all in good condition and no issue. Last time they give 1 year free screen crack replacement, now its optional. Recommended.

I would prefer to buy the used iPhone 11 rather than new one

CompAsia is okay... but you also could've better deal buying direct from user at Garage Sales / Carousell / Facebook

It's better to buy used iPhone 11 with months of Apple warranty unless you could buy new iPhone 11 64GB as low as RM2,700 (especially Lazada / Shopee after discount / vouchers)

Sometimes, Machines letting go the Open Box products. There is always a buyer who want to change iPhone after paying the products. For example, the buyer already paid for iPhone 11 64GB. Usually buyer will demand Machines staff to unbox the iPhone. But few minutes later, the buyer change his/her mind to buy higher storage iPhone or different iPhone or even want different color. So, what happened with the iPhone that has been unboxed? Machines can't sell it as new item. So, they sell it as Open Box items with cheaper price. Sometimes warranty has been activated, but most of the time, the warranty hasn't been activated yet (didn't turn on/ log in Apple ID)
So, you can refer --> Machines Open Box. Machines always sell Open Box items at cheaper price. I bought two Open Box iPhone from them. One is iPhone 6s 64GB in 2016, another one is iPhone SE 16GB in 2017.

Switch and Epicentre also have this kind of Open Box items.

If the 11 is within your budget then by all means go for that instead. Otherwise I'd probably pick the XR over the X for battery life.

Iphone XR would be the best choice.

For me the winner is iphone XR. A12, better battery life, better camera. Only pick iphone X if you need the oled display.

For me the winner is still iphone XR since I'm not a camera guy and the iphone XR camera is sufficient for my needs.

Do you play high graphics games? If yes, go for iphone 11

Does the camera important to you? If yes, go for iphone 11.

I'm currently using iphone XR. The performance of this phone is not an issue at all. It does not feel like a 2 years old at all.
